LGBT (standing for "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender") includes characters who fall under one of these "alternate" sexualities (whether publicly or otherwise), including those who are pansexual, transsexual, transvestite, and so forth. In this context, the term does not specifically refer to members of an LGBT community, or have any other implication - it simply refers to individuals who identify as one of the included sexualities.
