Bom-Pom
Contents
Appearance
Becky is a pale young woman of below average height with a deceptively soft physique, long black hair streaked with pink and green eyes. As Bom-Pom she wears a black cheerleaders uniform with a semi-clear black shaded eye shield, knee high boots and long gloves.
Background
Becky Neven was born extremely privileged. The daughter of wealthy industrialist Trevor Neven, she's traveled the world and experienced many things at a young age. She has the best of everything but she always wants more... After convincing her father to put up some funding she's decided to start her own team of young heroes both as a way to improve on the cities class of hero and to show off to her peers.
Personality
Despite her cheerleader gimmick and silly hero name Becky is a rather serious person. She is very goal oriented, has an intense focus that can make her seem cold and she often comes across as arrogant. Becky sees herself as better than most of her peers. She's wealthy, driven, talented and not used to failure. In fact, she has an intense fear of losing at anything instilled in her by her family and has difficulty relaxing or forming meaningful connections to others.
Powers and Abilities
+Energy Manipulation: Bom-Pom can produce volatile energy fields from her body. These energy fields are usually very unstable and explode on contact with anything that isn't Bom-Pom herself! She uses this ability to create energy pom-poms from her hands that give her unarmed strikes an explosive charge, but she can also set them as 'time bombs' with a very short timer or throw blasts at extremely short range. By stabilizing these fields she can give herself some protection from incoming attacks.
-Power Immunity: Bom-Pom seems impervious to the energy blasts she creates. This protection extends to some other forms of energy as well, allowing her to absorb a small amount of power from them.
+Naturally Gifted: Becky is extremely gifted and has rarely found an activity she doesn't excel at once she puts her mind to it. She is an excellent chef, skilled musician (knowing how to play the clarinet, piano and cello), is frequently top of her class in school, speaks five languages (English, Italian, French, Mandarin and Spanish) and is an excellent athlete.
-Hand to Hand Training: Bom-Pom, though not focused on mundane physical combat, has training or familiarity in many martial arts styles, most of them practical.
Weaknesses
-Cannot Fail: Becky isn't used to failure and she rarely accepts it. This refusal to lose can get her in over her head and complicate already dangerous situations.
-Always Gets Her Way: Becky hates not getting her way. At heart she's a spoiled brat and can't stand not getting what she wants. This makes her a bit unreasonable at times.
Tutor
Bom-Pom's 'co-leader' on Gen Prime. Tutor is an advanced robot with a sophisticated AI created by Neven Industries that is to assist Becky as well as her teammates in any way possible. It acts as a trainer, a teacher and an adviser and is capable of entering combat when necessary. It also represents Trevor Neven's personal interests in the new team and doesn't always agree with Becky.

Trivia
-Powerful, skillful, affluent... Becky seems to have it all. Her parents accept nothing less than perfection. Her older sister broke under the pressure and after spending some time in a psychiatric hospital has cut all ties with her family. Sometimes Becky shows signs of strain as well, but refuses to be a loser.
-Though Becky believes she was born with her powers her father actually paid to have her enhanced at a young age by an unethical metahuman research group called DRI (Dynamic Research Institute).
-Has a soft spot for animals, especially horses. She owns several and treats them better than most people.
Thoughts and Comments on Bom-Pom
-To be revealed...
"A strong, confident personality tends to make for good leaders, and she displayed as much in our first meeting alone. Her powers serve as a decent base for the rest of the team to work with too, if I am aware of the full extent of them, so I do believe she will make for a good fit to the role. With Tutor seemingly being her slightly more rational actor, and capable of covering the more... supportive aspects of leadership, the likelihood of poor leadership on the whole is low. However I, uh, had the ever so slight feeling she may not have been in this for the right reasons - she would not be the first - and that is something which may come to cause friction, depending on certain personalities." - Weaver
