On October 25 th 1838 Zachary Enrico Zapperoni was the first American born child of a middle class Italian family living in New York. Zachary's father Antonio was an Manager and Engineer for the Great Western Shipping Company; while his mother Maria (also known as Mimi was a homemaker, tending to his older brothers Giuseppe (or Beppe Aged 6) and Giovanni (or Nanni Aged 4).
Professor Zachary 'Zack' Zapperoni was trying to develop a time machine when he inadvertantly crossed beams with Juryrig's machine and ended up in Vibora Bay 50 years into his own future. Zack was unfortunately unable to contact any of the original members of S.H.A.F.T (Science Heroes Against Felonius Threats) , the group of likeminded individuals with whom he fought crime in his own day; who due to old age, illness or act of super villainy were all long since dead.
Deciding to remain the present day, Zack has formed a new S.H.A.F.T and looks forward to taking on the challenge of the new villains terrorising Millenium City and Vibora Bay and the wider world.
Zack is the creator of the S.T.A.S.H. (Subspace Transportation And Storage Handler) Device. This small machine creates a subspace pocket into which large items can be stored and retrieved. This negates the need to carry bulky items on your person. Don't fight crime without your S.T.A.S.H.
Zack also discovered Specimen #2780 which later evolved into Liberty
