History
Cam started learning judo and karate when he was still a small child although it was never just so he could beat people up. He took naturally to the whole culture of the east, the personal discipline, and spent most of his childhood and much of his teenage years learning various different forms of martial arts as well as studying the thinking behind them. As soon as he was old enough he applied for a scholarship to study Far Eastern Philosophies. He then spent six months in Japan, three in China, and another three skipping about in south east Asia, Vietnam, Thailand. It was during these travels that he learned about eastern medicine and herbal remedies and how with concentration you could move your body beyond pain. [2 Months Later] [Several Months Later] He had been following his usual routine down in London for a few months now. Working as a martial arts instructor to a bunch of spoiled rich kids (mostly) at a swanky Canary Wharf gym, teaching self defense during the day, hunting the streets and alleyways by night. During that time he had graduated from muggers and drug dealers, and had become embroiled in an investigation into some rumours of a gothic cult operating in the area. That in itself would normally not have come to his attention. What caused his concern was that one of his students, Rebecca (the step-daughter of some big shot in the government) had changed since apparently visiting the headquarters of a private group with some friends. Nothing much happened over the next couple of hours, some of the teenagers moved off into the darkness, only to return sometime later, whooping and joking. Knocking at the door they handed over a long bound package to the man who opened it. He gave them a small parcel in return and they ran off into the night arguing about who should hold it. Another hour had almost passed and Cam was begining to get stiff from sitting up on the frosty roof. He shifted uneasily, trying to find a position of comfort on the cold stone. His quest for a warm bit of stone was interrupted by the house door being opened below. As he watched a small struggling figure was dragged out into the car, followed by the Thin Man and the remainder of this goons, one of whom carried the long package. Just before getting into the car himself, the man paused, as though something had attracted his attention. He looked up at the building opposite, the one upon which Cameron sat, and smiled evilly, moonlight glinting of his grinning teeth. He got into the car and it drove off slowly along the street. The mutant who had been apparently destroyed when the groups colossal armored powerhouse had punched through him and converted him to pure energy which eventually hit Cam, altering him in the process. As Cam learned more about the mutant who had been destroyed he surmised that this might account for why he found it easier to generate electrical plasma through metals than without them (although with practice he is finding it easier to generate energy without external aids). On a subsequent mission, following an attack in which Cameron was seriously injured he felt as though someone or something else was in his head. Attributing it to the pain of his injuries, he wished for the intrusion and the injuries to disappear. And they did. Unsure of what this meant he buried the thoughts in his mind, unwilling to contemplate that he might be hosting something other than the ability to generate energy. Some time after this discovery Cam decided to leave the team he had been with, feeling the need to help his friend AJ (team mate Firefly, who had left several weeks before) more than the desire to stay where he was.[2] While spending time on the road with Firefly, Cam learned more of the magikal influence behind his powers. After a year together, they went their separate ways for a while. Following his trip beyond the Veil to AJ's home, another realm, Cameron continued to practice some of the new skills he had learned and headed back to London to clear his name with the police and then onto to New York to check on his cousin Gus, promising AJ he'd come back soon.[3]
The Guardians of Twilight[4] Biographies - The Castaways of Twilight Cove
[GM] A group of unique individuals given the chance for redemption set up shop on Twilight Cove, a small island in the Florida Keys. Valerie Cooper, their liaison with the US Government, is using the team as her own chance to redeem herself after the disaster with the Thunderbolts. The Cove- Is a five-mile wide island situated in the Lower Key area of the Florida Keys. Covered with thick foliage and trees, it provides ample cover for the Guardian’s base. A small helipad resides near the base. The building itself is a 4 story *2 sublevels* metal exterior building built to withstand hurricane force winds. The building consists of living quarters for the team, a training facility, medical bay, garage, a large scale computer satellite tracking and monitoring system, and a recreation facility. Originally, the building was used by the National Weather Service to track hurricanes before they approached the United States Mainland, but was rendered obsolete after it failed to predict Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Dr. Valerie Cooper, having failed miserably with the Thunderbolts, is on the verge of being booted out of the government’s good graces. Her position as Chairman of the Commission on Superhuman Activities is in jeopardy. She’s been given one last chance, and that chance, is the Guardians. Procuring their base on Twilight Cove was fairly easy, the team however, was a different story. Cooper was given a group of misfits, each with their own shadowy past. Criminal troubles, mental troubles, mutant troubles, she had her choice of who to pick, and the selection process was, interesting…. However, Dr. Cooper was pulled from the Guardians before their first actual mission began. Only to be replaced by FBI Agent Fox Mulder. "Spooky" as he insists on being called, informed the team that the truth really was out there....and oh..how things did change. The Guardians of Twilight RP - Field Trip: The Prelude
[GM] Washington D.C. 11.45 P.M. “I see you have the folder.” A male voice came from the darkened room that Dr. Valerie Cooper had been directed to come to. It had all happened rather mysteriously. Two weeks earlier, Cooper had received a series of late night phone calls from someone known only as “Lazarus”. His messages had been the early warning of things to come over that time. Her own disaster with the Thunderbolts had put her into a precarious position with the government, and she was just waiting for the other shoe to fall. “Yes, I have the folder, now tell me what this is all about.” Her eyes narrowed as she closed the door to the small office behind her. She took a seat across from the shadowed figure and proceeded to listen as he began to explain Valerie Cooper’s role in the things to come. “So, what you’re saying is, you want me to sponsor this team? You obviously know little of what goes on in Washington.” She curtly said to Lazarus after an hour of listening to him talk. His talk of mysteries, monsters and mutants sounded like something from a children’s story. “No, I don’t want you to sponsor these individuals, I’m ordering you to. You have no choice in this matter Dr. Cooper. If you turn me down, you’ll be as washed up in this town as you should be. Now, have you looked over your team?” Visibly shaken, Cooper gave her blond hair a push out of her face and opened the folder and began to look over the group of individuals that Lazarus had gathered unending information on. “Criminals, Strippers, Ex-Cons? You certainly know how to pick them.” She turned her nose up at most of these people; they were well beneath her. “Each one of them, Dr. Cooper, is invaluable in their own way. You need not baby sit them, only guide them through their first mission, from there you will simply step away.” Lazarus leaned forward a bit to retrieve the folder, pulling out a few photos of the people inside. If Dr. Cooper could have seen his face, she would have seen a wry smile as he laid down one photo in particular and pushed it out into the small-lighted circle on his desk. “She…will be your first. She’s already waiting on the Island. You’ll find Ms. Broussard very…interesting.” Valerie could hear the mirth in his voice as she looked down at the pink haired winged mutant who was standing in a police line up, flipping the middle finger at whoever had taken the photo. “So, I take it they are all mutants?” Again, she pushed the photo back across the desk. “Then you take it wrong, Dr. Cooper.” There was a strain in his voice at the word “Dr.” and Valerie caught that. Apparently this Lazarus held about as much respect for her as she did him. She smirked as he continued to speak. “Firefly is not a mutant, she’s a fairy.” He stated very matter of factly. “If you had bothered reading each of their dossiers you’d know this by now. Why am I even bothering with you Valerie Cooper? I thought you deserved another chance. But if you can’t study for the test, why take it?” His tone was had taken on a hard edge, daring the infamous Dr. Cooper to speak. “Read your notes Dr. They are important.” Was all Lazarus said as the door opened and Valerie turned to see someone waiting to usher her out. Two weeks later, Valerie Cooper found herself standing on a sun washed beach in the Florida Keys. She knew that at least one of the team members had arrived already. She had already had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting the pink haired harlot known as AJ. She had done her best to withhold the look of utter disgust from her face as the woman had shook her hand and welcomed her to “Fantasy Island.” “The Island’s name is Twilight Cove, Ms. Broussard. I suggest you remember that.” But before Valerie could berate the winged woman any longer, she stood appalled as the girl had turned on her heel and walked away from her, waving her hand in the air and calling out… “Whatevah lady, ah’ve got a tan ta work on. Let me know when the rest of ya happy ass bunch gets here.” The Guardians of Twilight RP - The Field Trip
[GM] As the team went about making themselves ready for the trip to New York, Janet and Clint watched them carefully. Taking notes and looking at the roster that Valerie Cooper had sent with them. Calling off everyone by code names, until they got to De...Janet smiled and asked "Would you prefer Nate or De? Since I don't have a code name listed for you?" Making sure everyone was together and ready, Hawkeye and Wasp began to explain their trip there. "Basically, Dr. Cooper seems to think you guys need a lesson in how a real team works. So, she's sending you with us for a day. Each of you will get paired off with an Avenger and will get to see how a team of heroes interacts and lives together. Maybe you learn some lessons, make some friends..."Clint let that trail off as the pink haired winged girl winked at him and smiled winsomely..."Definately make some new friends." Again, he felt Janet's elbow in his side. "So if we'll all move along, there's a quinjet waiting outside." Wasp smiled and opened the front door for them. The Guardians of Twilight RP - Assignment Japan
[GM] With the team gathered back on the island and Chandi still glowing about having flown the most high tech piece of equipment she ever had, the Guardians went about getting ready for their first real assignment. The man sleeping on the sofa was still there and try as they might, he simply would not awaken. With De and Kei manning the computer bays, 'Vok and AJ ransacking the weapons locker and finding all sorts of delightful laser guns, rocket launchers, and something that looked rather like a Star Trek phaser rifle, Chandi and Cameron were left getting the Jet prepared for the assignment. As the mission parameters finally appeared on screen, Kei smiled broadly and whirled the chair around several times. "Woohoo! Hiroshima here we come!" In the air, on their way and loaded down with enough weapons to supply the Iraqis, the team began the 3 hour flight to Hiroshima. De and Kei again manned the onboard computer bays, Chandi in the pilot's chair and AJ as her co-pilot, it left Cameron and 'Vok strapped in for dear life and praying to the saints to perserve them from the two women at the helm. Intel began spilling in over the computers on Hiroshima, site of a nuclear bomb drop and still dealing with radioactivity all these years later, it was one message that caught De's eye and made him voice a concern to the group. Addressing 'Vok, he questioned rather breezily..."Mate, that rocket launcher...you think it can take out a bird as big as Godzilla?" before 'Vok could even answer, De continued..."cause if not, then I think we need a bigger gun." The picture on the monitor behind him was a live satalite shot of the outskirts of Hiroshima...and as audio crackled and popped to life, a tell-tale sound crossed the airwaves. One that had been heard by most of the team, in countlessly badly made Japanese monster movies. The Guardians of Twilight RP - After Japan: Drunken Pirate Party (R&R)
[GM] It didn't take long for the group to find their way home. Waiting at the helipad with Vicki at his side was the dark haired man who had been sleeping on the sofa when they left. His suit was rumpled, his hair mussed and he looked like he had just spent the past month on a long drinking binge. Not waiting for any of them to even bother asking he went about introducing himself to his new team. "Most people call me Spooky, the name's Mulder, Fox Mulder...and before you say it, yeah from that tv show... it's a long story. Let's just say the government thought it would be interesting to show the American public the truth...but people didn't see past the Hollywood to know it was the truth. Yes, I'm a real FBI Agent, and yes, it as all real." he paused for a moment as he watched Chandi and Cameron letting AJ use them for support. "You did a great job, and I think it's time for some R&R. Oh, Kei, some guy named Pietro left a message for you while you were gone. Wants you to call him back. I wrote the number on the fridge." turning, he stuffed his hands into his pants pockets and began walking back to the house, humming as he walked along. Looking back at the Guardians as they stood dumbstruck for a moment, he smiled. "Come on, don't act like you've never seen anything like this before. You just battled Godzilla." The Guardians of Twilight RP - Assignment Great Britain
[GM] It was a simple assignment. Go in, get the Scarecrow and turn him over to the Arkham Asylum crew that would be waiting. So the morning after the night long celebration, the weird Bermuda Triangle incident, and Cameron's odd phone call dawned...and the group was off on the next assigment. Minus Cameron, who had felt compelled to go find out what Gus was up to. The flight overseas was quick and for the most part uneventful. Landing at the coordinates Mulder had given them, they couldn't help but notice the huge castle that loomed over the next ridge. The Guardians of Twilight RP - After Great Britain: Assignment R&R
[GM] As the jet hovered down on the landing pad, the team could see Mulder standing with his hands in his pockets next to a couple of heavily uniformed military personnel. That would also explain the Army green helicopter sitting on their landing pad as well. With the Scarecrow in tow, they exited the jet and watched as the MPs silently came forward, took the Scarecrow from them, and made their way to their helicopter. "Well, job well done and with only a few scratches I see." Mulder looked at AJ's bandaged hand and smiled. "You do manage to take the brunt of everything don't you?" motioning towards the main house, he turned and started walking away. "Come on, no debriefing on the beach." The Guardians of Twilight RP - The Guardians Down Under: Assignment R&R
[GM] Hours after De's suggestion to move the quest for some much needed downtime from the sandy shores of Twilight Cove to the sandy shores of his native Australia, bags had been packed, the jet had been refueled and a note had been left behind to the effect of "Gone shopping. Be back in an hour!" With Chandi at the controls and a burning desire to get away from it all fueling them, the made the trip in record time, which was fortunate since De seemed to have a hard time keeping his mouth shut about what a great place it was and happy he was to be going back. They touched down just on the far side of Melbourne Airport, after a bit of name dropping of De's part, and stepped out into the cool summer night of the Autralian air. It was beatiful really. A nice large moon hanging in the air, and stars littering the sky. They unloaded their belongings and locked up the jet, starting to make their way to the terminal so they could rent a car for their little vacation of sorts, and everything was going fine. Or at least things were until something told their resident intergalactic swashbucker to take one last peek at their ride home. A ride home he found missing after having only walked twenty yards from the thing. The Guardians of Twilight Locations - The Twilight Tap
Some images of the Twilight Tap as featured in Guardians: The first floor has 7 guest rooms as well as 3 staff overnight rooms near the read and Steve Trevor's private office and room located in the corner over the bar entrance. There is also a private resident's bar/dining room. The top level of the building is used by Steve for storage etc. Cam's motorcycle is stored in the garage to the side of the bar. (I will scout out the game, probably VB and see if i can find a suitable location for a new "Tap") Specifications

Abilities
Cam has the ability to generate highly charged technomagikal plasma (using metallic objects as a conduit makes it easier). He is also a Skilled Marksman and Swordsman, an exceptional Athlete and Martial Artist. Using metal threads laced through his uniform to channel the technomagikal energies and create a frictionless field can achieve flight capability at up to 200MPH for approx 2 hours. Able to see through artificially created illusions. His powers appear to stem from a magikal intervention which altered the energies released in the destruction of a mutant reality shifter. Since his trip beyond the Veil, Cam has learned how to create technomagikal artifacts and weapons, and small portals allowing him to transport objects a short distance. He is unwilling to use this ability on other people as it would reveal the existance of the Other Realm (if briefly) to the person being transported. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
