One of UNTIL's more mysterious agents, a man of great skill seemingly coming out of nowhere with a background shrouded in mystery and wielding strange supernatural powers. Although his remarkable track record throughout his years at UNTIL speaks in good favor of him there has always been a certain unease surrounding him. Not aided by his pitch black full body kevlar-armor decorated by a macabre serpent ornament and massive high tech sword which he has taken his name from. But there's something deeper about him. Something about his presence awakes a primal fear in those surrounding him, friends or foes alike, an aura of discomfort taking one back to the nightmares of once childhood and the fear of what unknown hiding in the dark. Although so far he have proven himself to be a reliant force to be re conned with in the fight against evil, and those who have fight alongside of him remain thankfully to that.

Zweins origin can be traced to a small town hidden of the grid deep in the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia, miles from any major city or highway. The small society consists of an ultra orthodox Roman Catholic church fellowship calling themselves the Cauducus church, in common with the likes of the Amish people they live in their own secluded society, although to a more extreme extent The town consists of roughly 200 citizens and is almost unknown by the rest of the world as they neither use electricity nor internet and doesn't trade with outsiders, though that's more an issue of the towns' isolation then of hostility. Zwein was born into this society as Cyrus Kaine, the youngest child of the then head Templar of the church Obadiah Kaine, a devoted and respected man within the community. As head Templar it was his duty to lead the other Knights of the Cauducus church into battle against demons and other dark creatures that made it into our world, he also oversaw law and order within the town itself when not in the field.

Enhanced Soul
Zwein draws his powers from his soul who he now can release at will after the Separation ritual. His strength comes directly from his religious devotion and compared to a regular human his soul far exceeds even the strongest of wills and rivals even that of many Angels and Demons. His soul is directly linked to his will and thus he's also immune to any form of mind control or manipulation. This means he can also shield himself from al but the strongest of telepathic influences and attacks, those trying to break into his mind will find it easier trying to break down a reinforced gate with their bare hands
Spirit Energy
Zwein can manifest his spiritual energy in two ways, ethereal and physical. When physical it manifests itself as a hard, transparent green energy field that can take multiple shapes and sizes. The strength of these spirit constructs are tremendous, during testing its proven capable to withstand all of UNTIL arsenal of high tech laser rifled, high caliber guns and explosives. Its proven equally effective against magical assaults and there are few know spells know to break through these. These fields can also block out heat and cold and harmful organisms, Zwein can even shield himself from the vacuum of space with his magic. When it comes to heavy lifting and punching Zwein has showing capabilities of lifting hundreds of tons with his powers, though only for short durations and under heavy stress.
Ethereal spirit energy is invisible to the naked eye and attacks the soul directly. The effects of these attacks varies depending on the targets resistance, though generally the effects manifests in feelings of fear and terror and a loss in confidence and will to fight back. Prolonged expotion leads to panic attacks and mental breakdown. Also feelings of guilt and remorse for once wrongdoings might occur together with extreme grief. These forms of spiritual attacks are extremely potent and almost impossible to shield oneself from. A damaged soul takes long time to heal and the effects from one of these attacks will linger for days, even weeks depending on the severity. Zwein is very careful and restrictive when using these powers not to damage his foes too much, though he admits that should he ever desire he could unleash a full barrage of these at once and basically break once soul completely, render that person a wreck and a slave to his every demand. This however is strictly forbidden within his church of religious reasons as they view free will as a divine gift to every man directly from God and to rob one of this is considered a unforgivable crime, fortunately.
He can also send out positive spirit energy to boost his allies with confidence and help them push through pain and negative emotions. This spirit energy can also be charged inwards to strengthen his physical abilities, giving him minor levels of superstreangth and durability. Although far less then most bricks this extra buff combined with his speed and expertise in fighting makes him capable of taking on far bigger and stronger opponents.
Spirit Walking
Zwein can release his spirit at will and have it wanders free of the boundaries of his physical body. Whilst in spirit form he's completely invisible and undetectable from al but the most sensitive of magic detectors. He's also completely intangible and can pass through solid objects without hinder, unless they're warded from magic. Whilst in spirit form hi body will still be left behind and although he can divide his consciousness between the two to have his body perform simpler tasks this severely hampers his combat efficiency and strains his mind. His body and soul are also deeply connected and one can instantly fuse with the other in the blink of an eye. He has developed this ability into a form of teleportation where he shoots out his spirit at high speed and connects with it again, seemingly instantly blinking from one location to another. This of course depends on his spirits ability to travel free, he can't teleport through a magic barrier. Also the delay increases depending on the distance he needs to teleport and if his opponent is quick enough his body can be caught of guard before his spirit reaches its location.
Magic Senses
Zwein can sense magic activity on a wide radius, both good, evil and neutral, though his training has made him more sensitive to evil magic. He can also see in the light of a persons soul if he's good or bad and can even tell if the person's lying to him. Every person on earth also have a distinct soul of their own, if Zwein chooses to remember one he will never forget it, being friend or foes. This sense works in a 360 degrees radius and is not dependent on any other of his senses like sight or hearing, making it nearly impossible to sneak up on him. This of course doesn't apply to robots who doesn't have a soul.
Tactical Espionage
Zweins powers fit usually well for stealthy operations and infiltration, UNTIL was quick to utilize this and put him through extensive spy training including hacking, infiltration and sabotage. Even without using his powers he knows his ways to keep out of sight and out of mind
Master Swordsman
Zweins knowledge and skills in the art of the blade is rivaled by few, his swift and ultroffensive fighting style is enough to overpower almost any adversary. These skills come form his 100years of constant battle in hell against all shapes, sizes and numbers of unimaginable hell spawn, giving him much more combat experience then any other human. From UNTIL he was also taught more of human biology, preasurepoints and efficient take downs. In close quarters there are few who can pull even against him, and everyday he keeps pushing that through extensive training and bad guy ass-whooping
Peak human physique
Being trained from birth by a possibly psychotic father demanding nothing but perfection in a society who pushes their young to the very breaking point does have its downside, but on the plus side you come out with some real killer abs! This rigorous training has followed Zwein all up to these days where he's constantly pushes his limits on the field and at the UNTIL training facilityEquipment
Zwein wears a pitch black combatarmour made out of a huge amount of individual ceramic armorplatings wrapped in Kevlar and coated with a carbon nanotubeweave for extreme durability and mobility. Beneath his armor he has an additional layer of protection in the form of a life support bodysuit that regulates his temperature and carries a supply of medical nanities that it automatically applies to any injured parts of the body. This suit is completely bulletproofed against anything but the highest calibers, the nanoweavecoating provides it excellent protection against heat based weapons such as lasers a since it's made out of many individual pieces its easily repaired and maintained.
Zwein High Tech sword
The Zwein is a high tech, custom made sword specially designed after his own requests. It's made out of solid question ite coated with the same nanoweave as his armor and is all but indestructible. At the flip of a switch it can change its molecular structure and go from razor sharp to non-lethal blunt mode. An on board high tech device in the sword hilt provides it with several different capabilities. It can become a shockbatton capable of delivering up to 15million volts per strike or it can heat up to a point where it melts through regular steel like it was butter. In sharp mode it can also vibrate at a molecular level at several thousands rpm, basically turning it into a lightsaber capable of cutting through all known materials on earth with ease. It can split in half sideways turning into two swords and also flip out 180 degrees turning it into a doublesword. Zwein is capable of flipping and switching between these setting mid-combat fluently at breakneck speed, throwing his combatants of guard as theyr'e faced with constantly changing fighting techniques. Zwein realy loves this sword, so much he took his superhero alias from it. The name comes from the German word zwei, meaning two, and it's a reflection of the blades duality
UNTIL variable explosives
Zwein always carries a set of these unique bombs with him. Capable of adjusting their explosive force and even nature of explosion, these high tech charges are invaluable when it comes to sabotage or taking down something really big. He can adjust their explosive force, the direction of the charge and also set their detonation to a timer, proximity or remote detonation
Flashpellets
Whenever you need to disappear quick or throw someone of guard these little buggers will do the trick! No bigger then a cigaretlighter these nefarious devices packs a real punch as they explode in a blinding flash and a deafening sound that causes serious vertigo. Zwein always carries a full belt of these just incase.
Smoke Grenades
Since Zwein can sense life and doesn't depend on his eyes to take down his foes he crries with him smoke grenades for whenever he needs to even some odds and leave a room full of guys blind and confused here
Friends and Allies
Sparrowhawk: The leader of the Protectors and a force to be reckoned with in her own, Zwein feels deep respect for this woman and he thinks high of her skills both as a leader and a fellow hero on the battlefield
Razira: As ashamed as he is to admit it, Zwein was at the start very suspicious of the white werewolf, never having encountered a good one before her. Over the time spent with the Protectors he's grown very fond of her and looks up to her both as an example of a great hero and a symbol that goodness can manifest in any form
Artifist: Another person whose familiar with magic is always welcomed as they seem to be in minority, especially if they're of the caliber as Artifist. Deep down Zwein might even feel the more competitive side of his upbringing that he tried his best to suppress manifest over whose the better magic wielder of the two
Cpt. Adamant: He told Zwein to his face he enjoys hunting animals for fun, that's a big no in his book! Though vegetarian bs aside Zwein thinks Carter is a decent guy and like al heroes who lacks superpowers he respects him for his work amongst the team of mutants and aliens
Cosmic Glory: Her ability to remain cheerful and positive through hardship at such young age is impressive, that together with her compassion a general nice altitude has warmed Zwein up to her as she somehow seems the most ”real” of the group to him by the way she balances her personal life and superhero career.
Keioseth II: Karas dark past and troubled mind reminds Zwein of himself and his past sins, and although he thinks himself beyond redemption he like to think he can help her continue on the good path, not that she seems to need much of his help on the ass-whooping department
Peacemaker: Peace is good, I think we all can agree to that, even Zwein. Peacemaker strives for peace, that makes him good, also being a nice guy helps. The whole telepathy thing though rubs Zwein the wrong way and he'd rather not have his mind poked around, although he trusts Sebastian would never do that, or else...

The only beverage Zwein drinks is plain water. Any kind of flavored drinks are too sweet, carbonated drinks feels weird and alcohol seems to more or less disgust him.
Doesn't seem to have any interest in neither music or movies, when asked on opinions on one he always answer ”It's fine” This goes for almost everything one might have an opinion on, making most discussions with him short and shallow.
Zwein doesn't like sitting still, or sitting at all for that matter. Be it at the dinner table, during movie night or mission briefing, Zwein remains standing. Even more quiescent activities like reading a book or browsing the web on a tablet are done walking at a brisk pace up and down the many hallways and stairs of the Barlowe building.
