Appearance
Just a bit over 5'7" she wears her natural red hair short. Quick Shrike has a small frame, some muscle definition thanks to taking her PT classes to heart and fair skin. Her expression tends to vary between bored and angry but occasionally she'll crack a smirk or grin at something she finds entertaining or funny. She also has a piercing in her lip which she always leaves in, whether out of costume or in, and tattoos on both upper arms, shoulders and across her upper chest.
Background
- June 3rd, 2011: Rocky Mountain Eyrie is formed, with Quick Shrike, under a different pseudonym, being the youngest member.
- September 27th, 2011: The members of Rocky Mountain Eyrie confront, fight with and leave their leader to be hospitalized and prosecuted for attempted drug trafficking.
- September 29th, 2011: The members of Rocky Mountain Eyrie choose to disband, though the second in command disappeared after the brutal fight with their former leader.
- November 16th, 2011: Stephanie Meyers moves to Millennium City, Michigan for a fresh start.
- December 19th, 2011: Joan Meyers, Stephanie's mother and only legal guardian, checks herself into a mental institution, Stephanie continues to live in the one room apartment they'd shared for one month.
Grace Memorial High School
Quick Shrike attends some classes at Grace Memorial High School but spends most of her "educational time" at a learning center with other troubled teens or "problem children". She only has one friend and that's the good-natured, unflappable and irascible custodian of the learning center, Kermit Chase, who she usually ends up helping clean up after hours as a form of detention. To date he seems to be the only person to not do so much as bat an eye at her tendency to use excessive foul language. He's also the only person outside of the Young Renegades to know her as both the teen heroine Quick Shrike and the troubled teen Stephanie Meyers.
Affiliations
Her first, and very short-lived team experience was with a young-adult group calling themselves Rocky Mountain Eyrie. Their first few outings went well but after it was learned that the leader of the group had been trying to sell Spice and Marijuana the team seized from drug dealers they parted ways, after a fight which left him in the hospital for two weeks before police could take him into custody. She has made every effort to put that disagreeable history behind her, including changing her heroic alias and moving to Michigan.

Skills and Equipment
Taking a childhood interest and an early passion for competition to the next level, she's a practiced and fairly skilled archer and utilizes that as the basis for her approach to crime-fighting. She's used three varieties of compound bow since starting as a vigilante, currently she uses a top-of-the-line bow given as a gift to her by her fellow Young Renegade Victory and an assortment of arrows with various payloads gained from the labs of her host and a former supervillain Death Ray.
She's also skilled with small firearms and rifles, thanks to her upbringing, but has recently disavowed the usage of them. This despite having saved lives by using them multiple times, because she's afraid someone innocent could come into the line of fire (again) and doesn't want to risk those consequences. She continues to use her knowledge to aid in crimefighting, and proper handling of firearms but refuses to use them herself any longer outside of a firing range.
She also has a full kit for repairing her bow, fletching arrows (although she normally buys the stock shafts already fletched) and a protective bracer.
Aside from her archery-related equipment Quick Shrike carries a two-way line-launcher, a set of lockpicks, a combat knife and her uniform which is resistant to bullets, knives and recently tweaked to be insulated against electricity, she wears a set of fingerless gloves to protect her hands but allow dexterity for the archery and a mask to help disguise her identity. Lastly she has replaced the sidearm she normally carried before with a customized nightstick which she uses when archery doesn't seem viable, especially in close quarters.
Apart from her fitness, knowledge of small firearms, practiced acrobatics and archery the only other thing that Quick Shrike has to call upon, herself, is sheer stubborn will, tenacity.
