From a young age, Vanessa was always interested in magic. Growing up in a city like Vibora Bay allowed her to explore her interests thoroughly, studying with some of the most powerful dark magicians in the city's underworld. She studied in this manner throughout her teen years, ultimately growing into a strong mage by the time she turned 20.

It was also during this time that Vanessa discovered her own personal powers over men. She enjoyed playing with the male psyche, often seducing men in order to get what she wanted.

Although her whereabouts are often a mystery, Vanessa's presence in any situation is certain to mean that there is something in it for her.

Powers

Although she physically possesses no real powers of her own, Vanessa is a master of the arcane. She seamlessly blends control over the powers of darkness, ebon sorcery, and celestial sorcery to create her own unique brand of magic, which she uses to whittle her foes down to size. In addition, she can control many other users of the dark arts, most notably those of demonic origin. Of course, as many of her attacks require careful planning and study, she can be defeated if her enemy has planned ahead more than her. Unfortunately for her enemies, that is very rarely the case.

History

2013

In an attempt to stir up some trouble between Jason Miller and The Prophet, Vanessa kidnapped Janet Goldberg, with the help of Mutagen. Ultimately, Oracle ended up apprehending Prophet, and Mutagen defeated Vanessa. Her body was not found. Janet returned home safely to return to work at the Oracle Foundation.

Through some kind of bizarre turn of events, Vanessa appeared in Millennium City once more, and even managed to land a position studying and teaching magic at Red Academy.
