Origins
Janet grew up simply enough, with two loving parents as she grew up in Detroit. However, it wasn't long before the Battle of Detroit rocked their world. Although her family was able to safely escape the city before Destroyer's Orbital Cannon destroyed the entire city, returning was a difficult thing to do. That was when she met Jason Miller. The two became close friends; in fact, Janet was one of the first to know of the Oracle's secret identity. When Jason took over his family business, the first person he called was Janet. The rest, as they say, is history...
Powers
Although Janet possesses no real powers of her own, she has become highly adept with handguns in cases of emergency. She is also very intelligent, although not enough to get herself out of every sticky situation she finds herself in.
Personality
Bookish: As secretary of the Oracle Foundation, Janet finds herself performing a lot of desk work around the office, and there are often times when she has nothing better to do than crack open a good book. Not that she's complaining, of course.
Friendly: Janet is widely accepting of anyone from any race. An especially useful trait for someone in her line of work.
Hard Working: Janet is never happier than when she's working at her desk, answering phone calls and helping the Oracle Foundation run on a daily basis.
Highly Ethical: Following her kidnapping, Janet went through a bit of a personal transformation. Her days of chasing men are now long gone, and she follows a strict moral code.
Absent-Minded: Of course, with her head buried in a book 90% of the time, Janet is easily prone to miss the more obvious details around her. Another reason she doesn't particularly enjoy the front lines.
History
2013
Tired of living under the Oracle's shadow, Janet decides to try to branch out and meet new people... Men or otherwise. However, in a city like Millennium City, she finds it extremely difficult to find someone who can relate to her need for normalcy.
In an attempt to stir up some trouble between Jason Miller and The Prophet, Vanessa White kidnapped Janet Goldberg, with the help of Mutagen. Ultimately, Oracle ended up apprehending Prophet, and Mutagen defeated Vanessa. Her body was not found. Janet returned home safely to return to work at the Oracle Foundation.
Following the incident, Janet purchased a pair of pistols to defend herself. She has trained herself to be a formidable marksman, but only uses her weapons to defend herself. She still prefers the quiet life of the office.
