Biography
"One man can make a difference.", this is the mantra that gave birth to Metro Moth. Alex Shade has no super powers or a great fortune to help fund his heroic activities, but he dose have the drive and belief that what he's doing makes the city a better place.
After the events that crippled Millennium City, Alex saw how the criminal element was taking their opportunity to bring the city deeper into the darkness. The over worked MCPD could not stop them and the current heroes of the city were starched too thin. So he choose to act, to step up, and make a difference. But how? He had no super power or limitless cash flow.
He came up with making him self a suit and gadgets to make up for that small detail. He found a lot of what he could use in old science magazines and of course comic books. He was surprised how easy it was to make his arsenal of crime fighting gadgets. But now he needed a look, a new identity. After giving it much thought he picked the Moth as his new crime fighting name and look, but it was lacking something. Wait! Metro Moth. Yes! That would be it, as he was going to fight crime mostly in the Metro area it was prefect.
Powers
- Peak Human Combat - Alex seems to be Highly skilled at hand to hand unarmed Combat as well as at lest 3 different forum of martial arts, Alex has no known Super Powers' but is extremely' athletic at the level of Olympic athlete as well as being able to lift up to 550 lbs, though he he can not lift a car he can flip most over.
- Gadgeteer - Alex also has a high Degree of engineering Skills which can be seen in his Crime fighting Gadgets, which he makes him self, which not always work out perfectly the first time.
Equipment
- Besides his never ending supply of gadgets he seems to come up with, Metro Moth has an arsenal of disguises he uses as well. Metro Moth can be seen all around the city citizens and fellow heroes pass bye him UN-Knowingly on a daily basis.
- Metro Moth is a Master of Disguise not even his fellow ETERNALS know all of his looks.
- He has found that some times blending into the back ground will allow him to gather more information on various criminal activity's rather than just busting in the door in full hero gear.

- Bud the Bum, a mangy looking Bum smelling of cheep wine and the Streets'
- Tony J, Pizza Delivery man From Darren's Pizza always Hot and on Time
- Donny The Door Man, Opening Doors with a Smile over at Club Caprice.

Metro Moth Cut's an impressive figure even standing among the rest of the Eternals, yes he has his limitations but thew counted Psychical training he has pushed his Body to the peak of it's athletic ability' to that of an Olympic athlete.and even though his Combat Skills are top level and his gadgets impressive at the end of the Day' he is just a Man in a Costume with no Super Powers.
this single truth has almost cost him his life more than once' it's not that he is reckless far from it he's a planer but his Personnel flame is never leaving any one behind or turning tail and running' it's just not his way.
Psycological'
well he's Not Nut's ? well maybe a little Nut's i mean you would have to be to fly around the City fighting Giant Robot's with Death Beams' or Super Villains who can Melt Steel with Burning Plasma Beams when you have no Super Powers' Right.
well that's the lest of his issues most Hero's have there Secret Identity's from the Public loved one's and some times even there team mates, but for Metro he's a man who was a Hero' in the past who is now posing as a completely Different man who's a Hero.
for most the past is just that the past but for Metro the past is only a few years ago' the loss of his true love' Vicky his friend and Mentor Captain Freedom and the Original Eternals, he carry's this with him every day' and thought he is always smiling on the out side inside it takes it's toll.

Appearance
- Animal-Themed Superbeing- So what's with the Moth Getup? When Metro had to reinvent himself as a Hero, in the here and now, he thought long and heard about the type of Hero he wanted to be. Then he foolishly relized that he already was that Hero. The world had moved on but he had not so what was he to do?
He went about thinking what he would need. He still had access to some of the old equipment, that he and Captain Freedom used, as well as new Technique. After Dumping every thing he would need to carry with him on to the floor, he set about Building his Costume around it.
Reinforced Body Armor, Re-enforced Gloves, Armored Boots, an Equipment Belt, Wing's to get around much more stealthy then a jet pack or Rocket Boots, after all this he picked the Moth. Its colors on a Costume would help hide his Gear and all Moths Possess Natural Camouflage
- 'Gray Eyes'- as far as the Eternals go none of them, Except for Vixen, have ever seen Metro with out his Trade mark Mask. She alone has seen his true face after the events in which he was Dragged by her to the Medical Facilities no Doubt Saving his life.
When Metro is not out Doing the Hero thing you can see a lot going on behind those Gray eyes they can look cold some times. Sometimes they can be comforting and Still. Other times, as when Vixen was close enough to see, they seem to hid a Secret pain.
- 'Brainy Brunette'-there's just some thing about this guy. Metro can come off as a little bashful around the lady's and slow to make new friends some times but get him talking about his newest Gadget and look out! He has the Brains without the ego, which is a rare thing. He's in it just for the sheer joy of learning and sharing what he knows.

Morality and Philosophy
- Thou Shall Not Kill-That was and still is one of the high ideals of the Eternals. Its what separates the Hero From the Hood. Metro believes in not taking life. A wise man once told him, "killing a man was the most horrible of acts you could ever do. You take away every thing he has and all he every could have". But sadly for Metro he has Killed more then once. The blood on his hands comes from his time in the war, but that was expected and he was rewarded for it. He could never decide which was worse the feeling of taking a life or to praised and called a hero for doing so. Metro even feels there is another way around the classic killing of a villain to save an innocent.
Combat and Skills
- Master of Disguise-Metro relies on his skills in the art of of Disguise just as much, if not more sometimes, then his gadgets and Costumed Hero look. This goes back to his Days with Captain Freedom. The Captain used disguises more then once to get information or probe deeply into enemy territory with out raising alarm.
Cap' once said, "some times the best thing a Hero can do is not to be seen.". In this manner Metro has studied for years to truly master the art of illusion, just short of Shape-shifting. His Disguises are truly elusive. there has been more than one occasion were he has interacted with his fellow Eternals and they were none the Wiser for it.
- Gadgeteer Genius-Metro has always been good with machines off all sorts. Tinkering has always been a passion for him making something go just that extra bit faster or shoot farther. It has always been that way. Many of his inspirations came from the popular Sci-fi of his time.
Once he stared to work with Captain Freedom and the Original Eternals his skills were encouraged and he had access to better resources. His creations became more inventive, but there is a price for always pushing the limits of what something can do or creating some thing from scratch. There have been a few times were one of Metros gadgets did not work as planed or held just long enough to do the job then fried.
Quirks
- Closet Geek-putting aside for the moment his one of a Kind Collection of all things Eternals, many would be shocked to find out that indeed Metro is a Geek. He holds the level of Gold Member in the international Rhapsody fan Club. He has been to every event she has preformed at and has all her releases. she occupies a full wall of her own with posters and collectibles from Stamps to Bobble heads. It is a Strange Obsession to be sure.
His favorite of all would be a CD that Rhapsody herself gave him after meeting her and going on several patrols together. She found out he was a fan, but not just one of those who clam to be, but one who knew the music and could talk about it. This seemed to touch the Super Star Hero and on there next meeting she Gifted him with a Pre-release of her new CD.
