Powers

Shaman has to enter his Shaman state by focusing his thoughts and clearing his mind. The Singing Crystals (see equipment) he wears, helps him achieve this state faster than normal. The following powers are available to him in this state.

• Energy Perception - Shaman can alter his visual perceptions so as to see the universe in terms of energy patterns, detecting the flow of kinetic, thermal and electromagnetic energy behind weather phenomena and can bend this energy to his will. Shaman can use this ability to precisely recognize his geographic position through interpretations of this energy.

• Weather Control - Shaman possesses the ability to control all forms of weather over vast areas. He can modify the temperature of the environment, control all forms of precipitation, humidity and moisture, generate lightning and other electromagnetic atmospheric phenomena. He can incite all forms of meteorological tempests, such as tornadoes, thunderstorms, blizzards, hurricanes as well as mist. He can dissipate such weather to form clear skies as well.

His precise control over the atmosphere allows him to create special weather effects. He can create precipitation at higher or lower altitudes than normal, make whirlwinds travel pointing lengthwise in any direction, channel ambient electromagnetism through his body to generate electric blasts, flash freeze objects and people. Along with granting him the ability of flight, Shaman can summon wind currents strong enough to support his weight to elevate himself (or others) to fly at high altitudes and speeds. Shaman can also sense disruption with the natural flow of air and manipulate mist and fog to appear partially transparent.

• Natural Sensitivity - While in his shamanistic state, Shaman becomes sensitive to the dynamics of the natural world, and his control over weather is affected by his emotions. One consequence of this connection to nature is that he often suppresses extreme feelings to prevent his emotional state from resulting in violent weather.

• Adaptation - As Shaman goes into different environments his powers adapt. When he is underwater he can manipulate the water's current similar to how he does with a wind current, to guide him as well as sense where things are, even when there is no light. His powers also protect him from the crushing pressures and cold that go along with diving to extreme depths.

• Telepathic Resistance – Shaman’s defense to telepathy is cause by increased electrical activity in his brain, described as static, as a result of the electrical forces that he controls. Note: this resistance only applies when Shaman is in his shamanistic state.

• Earth Link – Shaman’s powers have created a bond between himself and the primal life force of the Earth's biosphere. This bond with the Earth gives Shaman spiritual and material sustenance with an almost empathic sense towards every living thing.

• Spiritual Source – Shaman has the ability to separate his spirit from his body and the spirits of others, to enter the spirit world. In this world Shaman can manipulate the ambient mystical energy of the spirit world to perform a great many functions such as:

• Intangibility - the ability of appearing invisible to those remaining in the physical world and phasing through solid material.

• Mystic Bolts – Shaman’s weather manipulation abilities alter to allow him to hurl mystical bolts of spiritual energy whilst on the spirit plane.

• Banishment - by performing complex rituals, Shaman can banish creatures and humans to the spirit realm or trap them there.

• Flight – Shaman can fly using magical energy.

• Protective Shields – by summoning spiritual energy shaman can create protective shields of various sizes and magnitudes whilst on the spirit plane.

• Spirit Sense – While on the spirit plane, Shaman can detect any manipulation of spiritual energy or spiritual anomalies there. He can also detect the patterns of complex rituals that may have been performed by others there.

Equipment

• The Singing Crystals – These crystals are artifacts which were given to Shaman when he first began to learn how to use shamanistic abilities. Hawaiian shamans seek power from the spirits but they also cultivate personal power called mana. Personal power is dictated by the strength of one’s spirit, which is determined through the thoughts, actions and deeds of that individual. For example, somebody who had performed many negative thoughts, actions and deeds has very little mana. The more mana one has, the more power one can handle from the spirits. The more power one can handle from the spirits the greater the power one has to perform many feats. The Singing Crystals act as a filter for Shaman’s thoughts and emotions. They help him to maintain a clear head and reach personal power much faster than through traditional means - meditation, etc. These crystals also will the wearer to perform deeds of kindness and good, further building personal power, a trait which is special to the shamans in Noah’s line. If anyone else were to wear the crystals, they would simply allow the person to think more clearly and focus better.
