While Berserk, Tyrfing loses his restraint more and more as the battle progresses. Hiw powers grow with his bloodthirst, but it all comes at the cost of control and virtue. While at the beginning of his berserker transformation, he possesses a modicum of his self-control and all of his personal beliefs and values, those slowly wash off and degenerate into a ceaseless hunger for battle and bloodshed.
