The purpose of the Tournament was to give RPers who don't often PvP a chance to try out PvP with others who were equally inexperienced with it. Effective PvP designed characters did not participate, outside of helping judge the event. The matches lasted for three minutes and were best-of-three, with fights that ended due to time or ring-outs being decided by the judges. Deliberate ring-outs were heavily frowned upon.
