In short - for characters suited more for Claremont's writing or comic books like Marvel Ultimates or Marvel Max than for typical Champions Online scenario.
Mind you, having character in this category doesn't mean that he or she MUST be a bloodthirsty grimdark vigilante. Typical modern day comic book hero is still a good and decent person, only living in more realistic world.
It only means that you are willing to RP in a more realistic setting where things like modern day politics, real organised crime and social issues do exist, villains are not goofy weirdos doing things for sake of being evil, and people can be intolerant for mutants.
