BACKGROUND:
Back in 1996 Madeleine was chief geneticist in a leading company - her field of expertise being mutations. Respected, honored, with a wealthy husband, adult children and a big house.

Yet, husband left her for a younger woman and her life collapsed.
Madeleine decided to have at least revenge, if not justice. Using her knowledge she tried to do two things - take payback on her unworthy husband, but also regaing her lost youth.

And in 1998 she managed to do it.
Well, at least partially.
Mutagenic serum did not made her younger. It halted her aging forever, locking her in the age of 40 years. It also gave her frost controlling powers, unfortunately making her mentally unstable in the process.

Madeleine assaulted and killed her ex-husband, freezing him to death.
Slowly.
In the end she was captured and sentenced for murder, then served her time in the jail. She was also forced to undergo therapy, removing effects of mutation from her mind.

But that was years ago. Now Madeleine is free and has something to do with her life.
