Malek Zor'em, The Tyrant

The Uncle to Horizon, though he knows it not, is instrumental in the early history of Horizon. His own story sheds a great deal of light on Horizons coming to Earth, and his current situation galactically.

Origins

Born the twin to Kalek Zor'em, the two boys were nearly inseperable, and seemed to share a bond that transcended the conscious mind. They were the perfect boys, who were intelligent, inginuitive, and clearly destined for great things.

Disaster has a way of creeping up on even the very best. Both Kalek and Malek grew fond of their young childhood friend, Princess Laihra. Though they both endeavored to win her affections, through seperate paths of success in their lives, it was Kalek she returned affection to. Caring for his brother, and wishing him well, Malek emersed himself in his studies, and his own experiments, trying desperately to not harbor enmity towards his brother.

Dangers of an Alien threat brought both men to the forefront of their society, and old feelings were set aside to concern the threat at large. Malek's work proved a weapon form, that was dangerous, but highly powerful, while Kalek was studying distant star formations, and researching into the natural crystal formations of Tirithia. Ignoring the councils forbiddance to use his theories Malek, nearly succeeded in saving his people from the threat, however Kalek interfered, and sabotaged the dangerous experiment before a disaster could strike. In the confrontation, Laihra was killed, and both brothers blamed the other.

Malek was banished, never to see his homeworld again, Anathema to his people... he set off alone. Kalek moved on with his life, it was said he ventured out into the Cosmos, to study his distant stars, and leave the world full of painful memories behind...

Malek seethed, his brother had betrayed him, his people had labeled him "enemy"... he set about planning the downfall of the council, and his revenge upon Kalek. Tirithia would know true fear, and if an enemy they wanted, a monster they shall receive...

Malek built up forces, from vagabonds, and other Tirithians abroad. He collected alien artifacts of great power, and continued his research into genetics, mastering ways to improve his own physiology. He was becoming the monster Tirithia needed... Through political manuevering, and manipulation, the seeds of distrust were sewn, and Tirithia was brought to unrest, brinking on civil war. Malek unleashed his hand, and in one fell swoop had splintered the council, and set the world of Tirithia at each others throats.

Kalek returned from afar, and discovering what his brother had wrought, took up arms against him, rallying many divided Ttirithians to recognize the true threat, and mounted a counter offensive.

Tirithia burned... The glorious spires of Crystaline mastery, were shards of jagged natural majesty, against a blazen sky of ash and fire. Back and forth the twins raged a fruitless war, and in his rage, and desperation Malek conceeded ultimately to the beast within. He doomed Tirithia, beyond saving.

Malek devised a doomsday protocol which would turn the very solar system into a threat. After learning how to shield himself from the catasrophe he was about to unleash, Malek destabilized Tirithia's sun, by introducing "Super-heavy" matter into a wormhole directed directly through it, the resulting fusion , disrupted the natural energy process and deteriorated the sun to a red dwarf. Within three months Tirithia's people were nearly extinct, caught completely unprepared for such a sinister move.

Malek offered salvation to those willing to serve as his slaves from the deadly radiation. He warped their minds, and corrupted their hearts, untill they were indeed his loyal police, and enforcers. Kalek was destroyed along with the resistance, Malek had won, but now commanded a wasteland.

It was known to Malek after heavy interrogations that his brother Kalek had learned about amazing effects a yellow sun had on their peoples... and he began implementation to transform his monster red dwarf into a blazing yellow dwarf! Through galactic conquest, and galactic trade, Malek procurred the necesarry technologies, and materials he needed to terraform the dying sun, into a new vibrant yellow dwarf

Tirithia was reborn, to a world of powered beings, on par with gods of the pantheons, and the Tirithians, were known to the galactic civililizations as Mercenaries, and warmongers, embracing fear, and terrorism to steal and demand what they wanted.

Malek's dark plans grew beyond his own world, empowered by the yellow sun he and all Tirithians were effectively immortal, seeming to no longer age, he became the Emperor to Tirithians, and The Tyrant to the galaxy at large. he began a galactic conquest of neighboring systems, using the same dark tools, to overthrow other races, stealing their technologies from crippled peoples, and transforming their systems into yellow dwarf systems. The Tirithians maintained the godlike power, and were unstoppable...

And Now...

Now, messengers whisper to The Tyrant that Kalek's legacy lives on, that he sired children and that he taught them to avenge his people, and bring order to the galaxy. So agents have begun to scour the galaxy seeking any such evidence as to these claims, and always seeking new frontiers for conquest...
