Mr. Millennium is a fictional character, a superhero who appears in the popular MMO, Champions Online. Mr. Millennium was created by the player, @MrMillennium. He first appeared in Champions Online on September 4th, 2009.

Character Biography
In the dystopian future of the 23rd century, Lucas Turner was a young man who took his place in the wake of tragedy. An escalating conflict between mankind and super-humans develops into an apocalyptic war that significantly brings the future world to ruin. However, during the final hours of destruction, Lucas was unexpectedly visited by a cosmic entity calling itself the Witness.
It revealed to him that it had sought out a unique individual who had the absolute sense of right and wrong, to venture to the past and encourage mankind to better themselves in the hopes of preventing the world from ever coming to be. At death's door, Lucas had little choice but to take up the life of a hero. In a flash of astounding energy, he was sent back through time to the year of 2009, in Millennium City, The City of the Future.
Upon his arrival, Lucas found he was empowered with tremendous strength, durability, stamina, enhanced speed and the power of flight, but with little instruction on how to use these powers. Confused, lost, and alone, he wandered the city for a long time, amazed of how content it was. Despite stepping foot in a distinct environment compared to where his life first originated, it was the costumed heroes who primarily caught his attention. Being greatly inspired by the number of active heroes roaming Millennium City, Lucas decided he could possibly influence more of the general public while portraying a costumed persona like how he was himself.
After adjusting to the timeline, he adopted an iconic costume and dubbed himself "Mr. Millennium" after the name of the city. He planned to become a living prodigy of the best qualities of mankind, and in hopes of people looking up to him, to inspire many to live their lives better and to the fullest.

Behind The Keyboard: Creating Mr. M

Beginnings
When creating Mr. Millennium, it was the first time I had to actually sit down and plan out a character before hand. I wanted to get him just right and nail down a simple but yet iconic Silver Age look. I literally locked myself in my room, drew sketches over and over and used HeroMachine to help develop my character. He was inspired by popular characters in comics like Superman, Mister Majestic, Hyperion, Nova (Richard Rider), and Marvel Comics' Captain Mar-Vell.
Beginning of 2009, I had registered onto the Champions Online website and started forming friends on the official forums. We discussed how the game was going be, traded character ideas with each other and wrote stories together that involved our characters. That summer, I received an Open-Beta key from a give-away and was able to access the game for the first time. I was so excited to actually get into the in-game character creator, and I was literally blown away.
After Beta ended, I finally purchased my own copy of the game, eager to get into action. Mr. Millennium was created on Sept. 4, 2009. It was a lot of fun learning the game and getting used to another Superhero MMO besides City of Heroes. This was also my first time getting into Roleplaying, which is something I've been wanting to try in a long time. I even started a RP Super Group called the Icons.
Unfortunately, after a few weeks of play I was becoming less and less active due to real life issues. I made good friends and was really impressed by the number of amazing looking characters other players made in the game. However, I couldn't afford to keep playing and I lost touch with everyone I met in the game. I wish I knew what happened to them, I really do. By that time, I stopped playing Champions completely.
Return
I made my way back to the game in the end June of 2011. After learning that CO became Free-to-Play, I was curious to see if Mr. Millennium was still there. I logged in and found him there, right where I left off. He was at level 20 as a "Freeform" character. I decided to play him again and gave him a complete revamp, changing his whole look and converting him into a Behemoth Archetype. He came out better than how he originally did and I'm personally very proud of it. I was happy to get back in to the game, and definitely much more excited this time around. It had been two whole years since I last played and a lot of things had changed. Eventually, Mr. Millennium joined the Silver Age Sentinels, befriending his fellow teammates and having a bigger role as a mentor for the Young Sentinels. Later, I even got him to hit level cap after a couple of months (Thank you, Double XP Weekend!). And the rest is pretty much history. I'm still playing as of right now (August 2012) and I'm creating this page as my own personal tribute for my character and the game. I'm going to be starting college very soon and will likely not be able to play as much as I would like. But, it's been an incredible journey and fun experience on Champions Online. It was great getting to know the online community. Anyways, I hope that you enjoyed reading Mr. M's page and got to know the character a little bit better!
