History
Born in one of the many hospitals in Dallas, Marcus was always violent. He loved guns, his father taught him how to shoot at the age of ten. Years later, he was going to College when the battle of Detroit happened. His parents were there on vacation, and were killed in the destruction of the city. This angered Marcus, but also made him want to join the Military. He signed on to the Marines, and left for Basic Training a few days later .
After Detroit
For Sixteen years, Marcus was in the Marines, earning the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant. After being injured and deemed unfit for duty after an ambush by insurgents, Marcus was given an honorable discharge and sent home. For a year nearly, he was out of action, and when he finally recovered, he left Texas, his history, his old life, behind. Going to Millennium City, as he had heard of it whilst in the Service, he initially planned on settling down. But once he saw all the crime and villainy of the city, he knew he had to act, and so he armed himself with countless firearms, and non-lethal ammunition and went to work. A few months afterwards, he met Wolfhound and Wolfgirl, who became two of his best friends. Some time passed since then, and he now uses a suit of Power Armor he calls the 'Divine Intervention' Armor, along with a sword.
Acquaintences
Wolfhound, aka Janet: Janet was one of the first Heroes Marcus met who actually befriended him. The two come from similar places, atleast somewhat. She was in the Army, while Marcus was in the Marines. And, keeping to the rivalry they share over that, they'll call eachother names such as Dogface and Jarhead.
Wolfgirl, aka Sarah: Sarah was also among the first Marcus met who befriended him. She often jokes, when Marcus and Janet share their "Dogface, Jarhead" thing, that they should "Get married already."
Arc Thunder: Arc was one of the people at UNTIL Marcus met, and he's helped Marcus countless times. Though the two argue alot, Marcus considers him a good friend.
Keioseth: Marcus' boss and friend, Keioseth and Marcus have known eachother for a while, and Keio just recently hired Marcus on to the Freelancer Security Agency. They joke around with eachother alot.
Hunter: Another of Marcus' friends from the Freelancers, Hunter has also known Marcus for a while. Marcus and Hunter have both been in the Military, and both were Snipers at one point. They also joke around with eachother.

Everybody dies eventually
During an attack on one of the MCPD Precincts, in which Gunny, Lightwave, The Emissary, Azunai and countless other Heroes engaged in Combat against the creature known as Primordo, who was taking the form of a giant Colossus, with Earth-based abilities. After heavy fighting, the roof started to cave. Gunny had been pinned to the ground by a piece of debris, desperately trying to get free, when he was crushed by the Giants fist. Beaten and battered, the Marine finally came to a realization. This was his end. He fired at the Creature, shouting at the top of his lungs. When he was finally losing strength, he coughed and muttered into his comm "Everybody dies, eventually.". Afterwards, the Heroes managed to evacuate everyone. Two heroes were left inside along with Gunny. Emissary and Wreck. Emissary tried to rescue Gunny whilst Wreck held the roof up. Gunny was crushed by more Debris, effectively ending his life, while the two Heroes came out of the situation, relatively unscathed. Marcus Mal. The man who survived Bullets, Missiles, a Fusion Explosion, Mega-Destroids, and Grond, was dead. Killed, simply by tons of Rubble. His story, isnt quite yet done, however...
