BIOGRAPHY

Alexandra 'Alex' Harper is the heroine SPARROWHAWK, one of the world's most deadly combatants as well as a master in a multitude of skills. She was born to Alan Harper, a high ranking official of UNTIL who also was secretly involved with a shadowy organization known as the Apotheosis Project. Its purpose was to design and create superior human stock as a result of genetic engineering in order to rid the world of super human influence. Gifted with exceptional physical abilities, a mind that could recall things flawlessly as well as a talent for learning things quickly and effortlessly, Alex spent her childhood training under foremost experts in various fields of study. By adulthood Alex was poised to take a role in UNTIL, her father grooming her to eventually join his subversive cause. Alan's abduction by ARGENT changed this path and caused Alex to assume the guise of a masked hero in order to rescue him from their clutches. Alex remained a costumed crime fighter and chose to work beside the very heroes she unknowingly was raised to eliminate. After learning of the true reasons behind her birth, Alex denounced her father and had a direct hand in crippling the Apotheosis Project. Traveling the globe both as a solo operative as well as the leader of the Protectors of the World, Sparrowhawk wages war on injustice with unwavering perseverance.

Jacqueline "Jackie" Whitelock is a mutant who possesses incredible mastery over both telepathy and telekinesis. At first developing the ability of empathy at a young age, Jackie could pick up on the feelings of those around her. As she grew older, more potent powers manifested. These abilities caused her pain and anguish for a number of years and she worked diligently to control them. With the help of others, Jackie was able to not only move on with her life but use these talents for the benefit of mankind. Currently working with UNTIL to assist around the globe as a superhuman specialist and psychologist, she is also known as AURA, ready to help the costumed champions of the world fight against villainy.

Josiah Simmons is the hero known as COLONIAL, who was born centuries ago in the earliest days of America's history. A simple man whose actions were always good and just, a series of events led to him being almost killed for his beliefs and desire to do good. When ancient spirits were summoned to save his life, Josiah was effectively resurrected into a new form. He was also blessed with great powers and abilities which he used to help his fellow man. Originally he was active during the Revolutionary War as a masked mystery man and used his powers of electrical manipulation and formidable physical traits to help liberate the colonies. After the war, a great slumber overtook Josiah and he retreated from civilization. Decades later he awoke, once again determined to use his powers to defend his nation in a time of war. This circle continued, with Colonial disappearing mysteriously from the public... only to return again. This has transpired now for centuries, his powers growing every time he reappears. Once more amongst humanity, Colonial strives to continue to be a paragon of good and a source of inspiration for those who believe in the American way of life.

Olevia Alvarez is LASH, current holder of the powers of the celestial dragons of Chinese folklore. Originally just your typical 'pretty girl' in high school with a penchant for fashion, a family trip overseas turned her life upside down. A fight erupting between a nefarious villain and the Chinese national hero LONGWANG resulted in the latter's death before Olevia's very eyes. What no one expected, however, was for Olevia to inherit his powers to become a force for good herself. Returning to America she has found herself the unwitting owner of ancient and mystical abilities that she never even asked for. Now, with a mere cry of the fallen hero's name, Olevia physically transforms into a jade powerhouse and stands ready to tackle crime alongside the teen heroes of Millennium City.

BIOGRAPHY

Evan Samuels is the MIDNIGHT BRAWLER, one of Westside's guardians against the forces of evil. As a youth he longed to be a super hero, wanting to one day join the ranks of those idolized and adored by millions. Undeterred by his own issues growing up, he trained dutifully for years and upon adulthood took the super heroic mantle of AWESOME MAN! When he discovered that his fight against crime was less than awesome, Evan was forced by circumstance into financial hardship. Crushed and desperate for money, he discovered something he was good at... being a male entertainer. This eventually (and oddly) resulted in him rediscovering his love for battling the criminal element. A foiled robbery was the catalyst for a second chance at wearing a mask to take down evil. A tragic occurrence led to another series of events, granting Evan super powers. Surely, he thought, this was a sign of fate that he was destined to be more than a nobody. He was to be a HERO.
