Alan Cashton; Cliff-Side
Alan (AC) Cashton
Born March 19th 1986
known professionally as Cliff-Side
American born law officer and special agent of DE:LTA. His career began in Raleigh NC as a police cadet fresh out of college with long term goal of becoming detective. Before reaching his destination AC was given a special invitation to join one of Millennium City's highest ranking Until operations code name DE:LTA. AC accepted the offer, relocated to Millennium City and has been given the code name Cliff-Side.
Early Life
AC has led a normal existence. Loving parents, normal childhood and schooling, no prior law infractions outside of a couple speeding tickets.
His education included graduating from high school with average grades. Attended NC State pursuing law enforcement, civil rights, and criminal justice with high grades and at the top of his class. A great improvement over his high school grade averages.
Once he completed college, AC joined the police academy ranking exceptionally well during his time enrolled.
Upon graduating from the academy AC accepted an invitation to join UNTIL's DE:LTA program directly after.
Early Career
Once college was completed AC joined the local police academy and performed excellently in all fields. During his time at the academy a rep from UNTIL, based out of Millennium City, came looking for recruits. AC signed on without hesitation and relocated to Millennium City.
Before AC was able to report in to Captain Martin at the Millennium City Police Department headquarters, AC was approached by special agent Kontrol, DE:LTA's field leader. Kontrol briefly explained to AC what team DE:LTA's purpose, requirements and expectations were.
In order to join this group, it was explained that M.A.P. technology needed to be surgically graphed onto the nervous system and will have visibly noticeable circuitry implants. AC's strong desire to experience the abilities that the M.A.P. graph will surface, he accepted the procedures without questioning or asking for a complete explanation of the possible dangers of M.A.P. tech. As of date, no side effects have surfaced.
DE:LTA
Before reporting to duty on team DE:LTA Agent Caston (AC) had to complete all of UNTIL's standard training before reporting to Mentaic for M.A.P. evaluation.
Upon Agent Caston's approved evaluation to move forward with M.A.P. graphing procedure, he inherited control over earth, rock and stone materials. Only one other M.A.P. host has had earth powers develope, Brique, AC's fallen predecessor. It is unclear at this time if the M.A.P. tech installed on AC is a new installation or recovered M.A.P. tech from Brique.
The M.A.P. graphing results were better than expected. AC can encased himself in a stony armor shell by adding elements of earth, stone, dirt, etc. and having it attach to his body in layers. In doing such, his size is greatly increased as well as his durability in combat situations. Furthermore, he also has gained control over stones and rocks in which he can use offensively and defensibly in and out of combat.
NOTE:
DE:LTA, on occasion, uses a technology designed from the unsuccessful "Man Amplification Project" (simply known as M.A.P.). In the early 1990s the army started the "Man Amplification Project" in hopes to develop cheap, practical powered armor for its soldiers. At the time the only person who could use the armor's cybernetic interface was a soldier with accidentally-altered neuro chemistry, who stole the prototype and became the super villain Armadillo.
Mentiac solved the armor's technical problems. He used the data in which allowed Armadillo to use the interface and revised the interface to work without the need of the armor by graphing it directly to the subjects nervous system. However, M.A.P. installation is a radical procedure due to implanting circuitry directly to the nervous system which allows the nanobot technology to deliver or expose extraordinary power development directly to the host. In theory, specific powers can be assigned, but M.A.P.tech will only successfully adapt to a specific type of person (physically, mentally and genetically) without rejection.
Friends and Allies (as evaluated by agent Cliff-side)
Kontrol: She is the person who brought me into the team. I respect her as the leader of this team and even more so since I've found out all she's done to help my sister Dawn aka Joy-Ride aka D.A.W.N. She went through great efforts to save her when her body was killed and watch over her ever since. She has little to no control over her emotions and in general has blocked them out, but she's shows great affection for her friends and team mates and that I respect greatly.
D.A.W.N.: Now the I know the truth I hate her being referred to as "D.A.W.N.". Its so emotionless and robotic. I get that she has a robotic body now but that wasn't all that made her Dawn. At first I thought she was an instrument of the team and although her code name was D.A.W.N. I would have never guessed that she would be my sister. Her dying was so long ago and now it seems like a fading dream. The whole situation surrounding her is like a roller coaster ride. None of the family knew that she had natural powers much less that she ended up working for UNTIL and died during duty...it was reported to us that it was a car crash on her job to the bank she worked at...which she never worked at...it was just a cover story I guess. Every day its harder to control my feelings, I get over protected but then realize that she has a robotic body so there's...well its a work in progress and no one could be happier than me that Dawn is slowly surfacing.
Speed: The joker of the group and full time womanizer wanna-be. He is the life of the team, until anything about Destroyer comes up. Our power sets work well together and he is very efficient as an agent and normally the type of guy you want watching your back. Currently I am having issues with myself trusting him since the incident with Mach Speed (Multifaria). I know it wasn't technically Speed but Mach Speed played him so perfectly for such a long time before showing his true colors and hurting our team.
Sarge: Is dependable, no nonsense rugged military hero type. He is the guy you want watching your back and a great guy to have on your team, especially if you want to get through your mission asap without any horseplay. If you want the work done and play later, make sure you have Sarge with you. When Sarge and I are on a mission together, we shot-put the baddies. I rock them in the air and he pegs them. I don't enjoy hurting people but I gotta say shot-putting with the Sarge is pretty fun and sometimes funny.
Cavalier: All around decent friend to have. He seems very well rounded and grounded. He is a tiny bit Sarge and Speed combined...get the job done, but can have a great sense of humor, with out it being awkward or inappropriate. Like Speed, Cav's power set and mine work well together. I grab the baddies attention and he comes in and cleans up...and quick too. I have seen very few people take out opponents as fast as I've seen Cavalier do it.
Sphinx: I have only worked with Sphinx a couple of times. Very ferocious agent and overall seemed pretty well adapted for a Manimal. I do not know a lot about Sphinx but he is working else where now so acquaintances it is with this one.
Glimmer: I barely knew her, but I miss her. I guess that's natural considering her powers. When she was on the team, we all felt like we could take on the world...hell, the universe. She was like that sweet little kid sister you just wanted to eat up. It was sad enough to hear she went back home so suddenly but to find out that she was actually murdered by Mach Speed (Multifaria), well if I get to him first Cavalier will not have much to kill slowly.
Concussor: New team mate. New to the group. She is STRONG. Nearly Sphinx's level if not stronger. She is fearless, always one of the first to the fight. She may be a little stubborn but I haven't worked with her enough yet to know her personality...could be she just needs to find her groove into working with the rest of the team. It sure took me a while to get the hang of it.
Arkane: I've only been on one mission and one meeting with Arkane. From what I can tell he is exactly like Kontrol but instead of tech and mental logic he's all about the magic. I have a feeling, if nothing else, this guy will keep us on our toes.
Mentella: I am not much familiar with her. It seems her and Kontrol have some kind of kinship, like past team mates before DE:LTA but I have rarely worked with her and when I have, she mostly hangs out with Kontrol.
Justice: Former colleague I suggested as a possible DE:LTA candidate.
Vitality: Haven't gotten to know him but looking forward to seeing what he can do.
