Appearance

Being inspired from Daft Punk, she takes a lot of cues from their aesthetic, though she does speak (A lot). Her helmets can vary, and they each have voice modulators to help alter her voice either for practical or musical purposes.

Her garb is slick and metallic, with tech outlines. Her entire aesthetic is based off of her favored genre; Electronica.
Most of the time, her outfit is technologically advanced to be bulletproof.

Brief History

DJ Zydrate was discovered when she was hired for $1,000 to play music during a party at a wealthy man's penthouse. Funny enough, she was actually there to clean up when the bulk of the party had turned in for the night. She only played for about a dozen of the host's friends.

Her personality was a hit (More so than the music itself) and was hired for double that amount to play at an actual club. Her act was described on the news as "Standup comedy in 1 minute bits, followed by music", and was described to be the "next Skrillex".

Her first few acts were mostly remixes of existing songs, and usually plays recent hits throughout her act.

Her fame snowballed after that. A couple of her remixes were used on American Idol, she is consistently on the news (At least once or twice a month), and her shows are often sold out.
She is currently setting up an entire concert, which she has yet to do.

She was approached for a scholarship at a nearby Arts Academy, a complete full run. Since she had no real formal musical training of any kind, she accepted and is currently enrolled.
However her identity remains mostly secret, though her personality overlaps and a few select students have been able to fish her out.

She personally compares her fame to "If internet stars actually got real gigs".

Amanda Kilchum is a tanned skinned, darkly-red haired woman, twenty-two years of age and attending a college under various Musical Arts programs. Oddly enough, she's not much of a party-girl. Her partying is restricted to music itself, though she is known to drink liquor on occasion. (Though she can hold it and knows her limits). In college Amanda wears the proper uniform and tucks her hair into a bun. Sometimes she wears it as a ponytail but otherwise fulfills the "proper" attire. Her standard outfit though are casual jackets and jeans. She generally tries to keep up the cyan-theme but has been actively avoiding it to minimize identification, since she doesn't like to outright lie with "Oh, I'm just a fan". Especially since people can put two and two together. DJ-Z likes to talk about her life (minus identity). So here's a woman clad in cyans going to school for a music degree? Doesn't take a genius to sniff that out. Therefore, she looks average to most.

Personality and Lifestyle

Mostly lives a normal life in an apartment building. She doesn't buy big, most of her funding goes towards her outfits.

She is outwardly friendly despite being moderately political (She works in a casual level of feminism in some of her humor). That aside, she is outgoing and sociable, and has made a lot of friends in school. (Half of them don't know she's DJ Zydrate).

She can be known as goofy and eccentric, but does take many topics more seriously than others. It also varies on the time of day (She's not a morning person, at all).
The recent 'rivalry' with what can only be called a Nemesis has put her on edge as well. There's something about fearing for your life that drops one's mood.

Powers / Abilities

Little to none, however two things of note;

She is a moderate hand-to-hand combatant. She has trained at a couple of Dojo's, and eventually graduated to a black belt.
However this training is on a civilian-level. She could wipe the floor with a random mugger or hooligan, but could not stand against hardened soldiers, spies, etc.

A lot of her funding goes towards powered armor as well, technology made available to her once she became a celebrity. These armors vary and she enjoys decorating them and wielding them during her shows. This also helps protect her from fanatical fans (Is that redundant?).
Much of what she wears is bulletproof, even her iconic DJ costume.

Obviously Evil / Her Nemesis. She was too naive or inexperienced to see it at the time.

• She is of Scottish background, but she has no accent. Except when she yells or is angry, which is almost never. Her parent's accents are much more noticeable, as they still live there. She Skypes them regularly, and they are very proud.

• Her Nemesis is inspired by this guy, the villain from Transporter 2.
• DJ-Z is my first "normal" character in some time. Right behind Mira in normality (whom only has a few psionics).
