Origin
Chinook was lost as an infant deep within the Canadian Wilderness. Hunters from a tribe of sasquatch warriors find him, reluctantly raising him as one of their own. They name him Little-Foot for his tiny stature. But as he grows up, he begins to display courage and heart befitting a sasquatch. The tribe honors him with the name of Little-Brave-Foot.
When he is fourteen years old, he and his best friend, Walks-On-Wind, returned to their village to find it in flames. A Viper detail had stumbled beyond the tundra's edge, destroying their home and setting it ablaze. Brave-Foot rushes into the Chief's hut, despite Walks-On-Wind warning him of his fate. He is consumed by the fires trying to rescue his Chief.
The great Land Spirit saves his life, bestowing him with the gift of Pyromancy. Together, Walks-On-Wind and Brave-Foot travel the wilderness, seeking a new home. But they find that no sasquatch tribes will take in an adolescent human who believes he is sasquatch. In the best interest of Walks-On-Wind, Brave-Foot leaves his sasquatch friend, venturing out alone to find the only people who might take him in; Humans.
Brave-Foot becomes Chinook, folk hero and phantom wanderer of the Canadian Wilderness. When Operation Cold Front is formed, Mark Derringer tracks down Chinook and recruits him as the teams Pyromancy specialist.
