Ricky is the son of Lee Feng, a decorated Westside cop who is rumored to have been slain in the line of duty by Wayland Talos when Ricky was just an infant.
As a pre-teen Ricky was lured into Westside's prominent gang life. A young, naïve Ricky was seduced by the respect, protection and benefits the Cult of the Red Banner could offer him and he quickly became a loyal member, putting his light hands and nimble fingers to work for the Cult.
By the time Ricky was fifteen, he was committing larger scale jobs for the Cult, and had been in juvenile detention several times. He was forced into a job by Hi Pan himself. It was during this museum job that Ricky met Red Lotus
for the first time. During the job, Ricky picked up a dragon relic from China's Han dynasty. The relic imbued Ricky with the power of super human chi as well as the knowledge and skill of every Chinese martial art dating back to the Shaolin Monastery itself.

WIP| Ricky used these powers to defy Hi Pan, provoking the wrath of Red Lotus and the entire Cult. Wanted by Hi Pan, dead or alive, Ricky is saved by Kinetik
, who refers him to Ravenswood where his life takes a full 180. He becomes the Shaolin Kid before becoming a self-defense instructor at the Academy.
Hi Pan is regarded as the most dangerous and influential figure of the Red Banner organization's foothold in Michigan. In addition to being a twisted sorcerer and priest of the Death Dragon, he is also a ruthless, ambitious militia leader who manages much of the Cult of the Red Banner's activity in Millennium City's Westside districts. He is a power-hungry, calculating mastermind who desires nothing more than total control of the Westside, and is willing to go to some extreme lengths to accomplish his goal. Primarily the release of his master, the Death Dragon, who has promised his followers sections of Earth to rule over amidst the destruction and chaos his very nature and presence would bring upon the planet.
Ricky possess the spirit of the Dragon Warrior, giving him super human chi and knowledge as well as innate mastery in all forms of wushu. Hi Pan seeks this power to wield for himself and prevent its holder from entering the Tournament of The Dragon to defeat the Death Dragon.
