I've said this numerous times before, I'll say it again. I always liked how Wheelman's simplistic style makes him look so easy and somewhat iconic in the first sight. Very memorable and minimalist. Also the original idea behind the character is one of the best I've ever seen. I don't often write great feedback on characters, but I had to write this one down. --[[User:Cartun|Cartun]] ([[User talk:Cartun|talk]]) 06:35, 16 July 2013 (BST)

Creator Notes

  • Wheelman is the fourth official character I've made for Champions Online, and also the first character with a Freeform build.
  • The main inspiration for creating the Wheelman was drawn from my City of Heroes character, the Malleable Mechanic, in an attempt to reinvent the character idea for the new setting. Inspirations from mainstream comics include the Flash (and other speedsters) as well as the Rhino (for the unremovable suit concept).
  • Also, a big part of the concept was the use of the Hyper Ball travel power: in fact, I waited to make him until I had actually bought the power from the Questionite Exchange.
  • The character is the first to reach maximum level in Champions Online, sharing this honor with the Mechanic in CoH.
