Foreword
The following information has, in part, been provided to PRIMUS via The Summerstone Sisterhood and contains some information pertaining to one of The Summerstone Academy's early students. Whilst it is not a full report, the information has been filed for reference purposes and is kept in the hopes that these minor notes will be expanded upon by either Psirus himself OR his previous mentor (Mentella) should this meta human require assistance or otherwise. As a result of this, this file has been partly made accessible to PRIMUS and it's associates. For more information please speak to Mentella or Mr. Domino himself.
History & Personality
Jimar Domino was born into a middle class family in Detroit and was surrounded by his loving and caring relatives just as any child deserves, unfortunately for him, his childhood took a dramatic turn for the worse as in 1992 at the very young age of 7, Jimar was one of the many who witnessed the horror that was the Battle of Detroit and one of the few who survived where so many lost their lives, heroes and civilians alike. In the surrounding chaos and horrible din of crumbling buildings, colossal explosions and Jimar lost sight of his family as they quickly bolted past a toppling building. His mother cried out as a large section of the building plummeted to the ground below blocking the view between him and his family. As the dust settled, he heard his mothers muffled screams and focused in on a much nearer much more pain filled groan; he looked around and soon found a construction worker who had fallen horribly.
Jimar panicked as he slowly approached the man almost feeling the same amount of pain and despair that the man felt. All he knew was that he wanted the pain to stop and a ripple of barely visible energy seemed to rip forth from him and forced itself to cocoon the construction worker, slowly soothing him, unknowingly absorbing the man's pain as his own before somehow managing to wile it away. It wasn't long before a superhero came along, lifting the debris, high over his head whilst another swooped in and retrieved the placated construction worker and the slightly confused Jimar.
As time went on Jimar, learned through research and his own thoughts that he had somehow developed the ability to read and communicate with other people's minds via emotions. He kept this a secret from his family out of fear of being treated differently for being a "mutant". However as time went on and he got older his powers became incredibly unstable; during his teenage years he was unable to fully contain his ability, constantly projecting his own emotions and receiving those of others at random times. His sensitivity to emotions only served to magnify how fully he experienced every emotion he received, as a result he sought out assistance from a mutant support group. For a while they were able to assist him, calming him down and putting him with other mutants who had a similar suit of gift. Unfortunately the group was attacked by Anti-Mutant Crusaders, who had somehow found out about the group and burnt the group venue down, even going as far as attacking the members. The group disbanded soon thereafter and each went their separate ways, Jimar was left with a fractured wrist and a broken barrier to his powers, once again throwing them back into uncontrollable bursts of power.
At the age of 23, Jimar was put into contact with a very new academy which seemed to cater to...his unique situation as a person with abilities. The Academy was founded by a Dr. M. Summerstone, who assured that she would be capable of bringing out the very best in her students. Jimar was at a low point in his life and constantly depressed about the lack of control over his powers, but was willing to take a chance and see if The Summerstone Academy for Advanced Individuals would help.
To this day he firmly believes it was the one thing that saved him as a person. Under the tutelage of his mentor, Mentella, Jimar learned to focus and hone his empathic abilities as well as discover a few dormant abilities such as the ability to gather psionic energy to stun and attack the minds of his opponents, create and alter empathic memories and harness an astral form. Despite all this training, the early childhood trauma and later life traumas mixed in with his sensitivity when it came to emotions, these various psychological complications had shattered his control over his primary ability. Beyond resetting his ability, which would have been a lengthy and fairly invasive procedure, both Jimar and Mentella opted to find another way to deal with his predicament. In conjunction with UNTIL Scientists and The Summerstone Sisterhood's resources, a Meta Power Regulator device was developed with specific focus on controlling the emotional sensitivity that Jimar naturally had, allowing him to "tune out" when necessary.
Jimar was one of the first 100 students (humans and aliens) to be taught at The Summerstone Academy. After his graduation Jimar took on the alias 'Psirus' and went on to form his own team for a brief period of time, namely Shadow X.
Personality
Jimar is pleasant individual and is for lack of a better word, a peacemaker generally. As a student of mine, he was adept at quelling heated situations and was the last to use his powers in an offensive or threatening manner. He has shown himself to be a team player and enjoys the thought of being something which helps to keep a team together or promotes the spirit of the team. As an Empath, Jimar does his best to understand others and their actions and does well as a mediator.
Jimar, or rather, Psirus has come a good way since being a student of mine at The Summerstone Academy and has lead a group of heroes in several successful engagements against villain groups such as DEMON and on one occasion VIPER.
Abilities
Mentella's Note: I've provided an up to date list of Mr. Domino's abilities relating to those he was taught him to develop and those which he actively uses. This mainly covers his mutant abilities but also lists and describes in part his technology.
Empathy - Perhaps Psirus' strongest ability is his primary mutation which is the ability to fully interpret and replicate moods, emotions and temperaments of others, without having to delve into the individual's mind. Psirus, unlike most empaths, does not require physical contact in order to understand the emotions of those around him or of a specific target. With this ability he can manipulate the emotions of an individual, causing them feel a certain emotion by exuding subtle and sometimes overt and forceful psionic waves at his targets. This covers a wide range of emotions and can when pushed stretch to perceptions and he can induce some level of pain with his empathic ability. As well as doing this he can also soothe an individual's mind if they are in pain, by absorbing the pain for himself. He also has the ability to heal people on an emotional level, this is purely emotional however, but he has been taught to apply his psionic energy to physical healing as well. However that ability is not as strong.
- Without his Power Regulator Psirus' emotional sensitivity (also known as his range for sensing emotion) has a 200ft radius. This can be harmful to him, as over exposure to many different emotions can cause him to project these emotions and can at times cause severe emotional backlash. This of course is greatly nullified by him wearing the Power Regulator but if someone's emotions are more powerful than what he is able to project, it is possible that he could suffer.
Telempathy - This was an ability which stemmed from his primary mutation after he was guided and was able to harness low levels of communicative psionic energy. Psirus not only sense the emotions of others, he can also send his own emotions to others. He can use this communicate with one another emotionally and can send "emotional echoes" to another mind. This is not to be confused with Telepathy. By using this skill alone, he is only capable of sending images which are attached to a particular emotion he or his target may be sending between themselves. (An example of this would be of sending the emotion of happiness to another and an echo of them laughing would be reflected back to him). Psirus can use this ability to share his own feelings with others but cannot project his thoughts with this ability alone.
- Both his Telempathic and Empathic Abilities are limited in a sense as they are dependent on the target he is dealing with. If someone is incapable of feeling emotion, it is highly likely they'll remain totally immune to his actions, or if his target does not perceive emotions in a similar manner to him, he will be unable to read them or communicate effectively.
Telepathy - After a long period of therapy, searching and guidance, Psirus was able to develop a basic form of telepathic ability, namely telepathic communication between willing minds. I personally taught him how to apply his telepathy in the field so to speak. With his telepathic ability he can: gather psionic energy to attack another mind, generate a powerful blast to stun another and induce significant periods of paralysis as well as perform telepathic communication between himself and another willing mind. His offensive telepathic capabilities are strongly tied to his empathic abilities, as the pain he can cause from his telepathic attacks are empathetic in nature, not directly psionic. Psirus has his own form of mental shielding in place to guard against most psychic attacks and his telepathic reach is roughly half of his Empathic Reach.
- Whilst Psirus is able to communicate from mind to mind, he cannot control nor probe minds with forms of psychic shielding. As a controlling influence requires more focus on his part he may temporarily boost his Power Regulator in order to achieve such a feat. Psirus is able to influence emotions surrounding memories to a certain degree, however if the emotion is too strong this may cause emotional backlash.
Astral Form - Psirus was taught during his time at the Academy how to focus and enter and/or use his astral form in the astral plane and the physical plane. With this ability Psirus can manifest his Astral Form for defensive purposes, this of course leaves his physical body vulnerable to attack, however like other mentalists who can access their astral form, he can utilize this form to face off against energy beings or use it to attack hostile forces. However any damage his physical form may suffer once he returns to his body he will also be damaged. This is an ability which has only very recently resurfaced.
Meta Power Regulator - This special device was developed by a few UNTIL Scientists, Dr. Su Summerstone (Founder of ForceTech Ind.) and Psirus himself as a means to aid his abilities. During the time that he was under my tutelage, I would personally suppress his emotional sensitivity. We tried different methods, such as suppression, psychic barriers and psychic siphoning but each method either caused discomfort and/or was hampering his ability to excel with his telepathic abilities. So I relented and put in a request for a device like this to be built. The Meta Power Regulator or M.P.R. as it has been dubbed, in effect carries out the same task I did but on a less precise level. Psirus must tune or "switch" to a certain setting on the Regulators in order to fight effectively using his psionic energy. The device also carries a psionic focusing crystal coating on the inside which encourages the gathering and utilization of psionic energy. This abundance of psionic energy allows Psirus to fly when need be.
- If Psirus is in a particularly crowded area without wearing his M.P.R, he can quickly become overwhelmed by the tsunami wave of emotions hitting him from all sides and may find it difficult to keep his mental shields in place.
Known Threats
Mentella's Note: After resuming contact with Psirus a few weeks ago, we discussed a few things with specific focus on his heroic endeavours since graduation. Instead of relating word for word his experiences, I have provided a simple introduction and statement of current threats of which he is aware of and has encountered.
Both on solo ventures and in teams, Psirus has fought against some of VIPER's toughest members including:
- Draconis
- Freon
- VIPER X
His latest battle with VIPER seemed as if he was to fight Viperia herself. Despite this, he was successful but only marginally. With the assistance of his new teammates, namely, Sarge, Vitality and M, Psirus was able to take down Viperia. Unfortunately it was later revealed that this Viperia was merely a decoy. Psirus seems to be slightly disturbed as to why and how exactly VIPER could clone Viperia and for what end. However he expressed relief that this "Viperia" was being transported to a secure location where she could be safely locked up.
King Ace
Mentella's Note: - Psirus recently has come up against a new Super Villain who seems determined to cause him as much trouble as possible. A man who calls himself 'King Ace' exhibits high levels of super human strength and based on the description and memories from Psirus, seems to be immune or at least highly resistant to Psirus' mutant abilities. (Note: This could be due to some form of Emotion Negation based ability, most likely Apathy). Despite this unfortunate turn of events, I assured Psirus that with Delta's assistance he would be more than capable of dealing with King Ace.
Upon further research of the nature of King Ace, it was found that he is quite well known in the criminal underworld for his readiness to accept special assassination tasks for corrupt government organizations as well as villainous organizations, such as ARGENT or DEMON. Despite his reputation for being relatively efficient albeit somewhat unorthodox, he has not been employed by PSI or VIPER.
I spoke to several of my informants in those organizations and was made aware of the clear reason why he was never employed. The reason, much to my displeasure, is that this particular individual has a strong fixation with psychics (Note: fetish would be a more apt description.) and as a result of this he enjoys killing psychics and seems to gain some sort of sexual gratification from fighting and being around them. This fact alone serves as enough of a reason why neither organization have accepted or requested his services.
Despite his physical appearance he does not seem to have any current links to The Black Aces gang, though it is highly possible at one stage he was. King Ace is also a mob boss and employs ex-military men and ARGENT Soldiers who act as his minions. His most recent contracting was by DEMON with regard to taking down Psirus. I have passed this additional information regarding this unsavory individual to PRIMUS and Psirus, who in turn will no doubt pass this information on to Delta.
I am confident that Psirus will update this file with additional information when necessary or when such information comes to light.

Additional Notes
Mentella's Note: There have been talks of Psirus wanting to join or looking for an opportunity to meet with Delta. I provided this file to both UNTIL and PRIMUS in case a few basic bits of information were needed and/or requested regarding Psirus. I am aware of his prior interactions with both Sarge and Cavalier and based on this I assume his circumstances now allow him to seriously consider the offer to join Delta or at least once more consider what path he'd want to continue on. PRIMUS were quite fortunate to have contacted me so soon, I was planning to archive some of this older data. The full report is not here since during my earlier days my teaching notes were written in my mother tongue. I have translated the key parts from what is necessary and left unnecessary parts out.
Mentella's Note: As of the 9th of July 2014, Psirus received a Delta communicator granting him access to their private com-channel and also securing a position of the Delta roster, much to his delight.
