Orion Prime

He is "normal" human with great endurance and drive. He relies on his Orion suit to protect him and provide him the abilities that make him "super heroic". His suit is composed of a special ceramics and polymers that are highly resistant to impact and temperatures in addition to being easily repairable. They are honeycombed with microscopic tunnels that serve as pathways for millions of AI-enabled nanites that act similarly to blood cells. They near-instantly repair and strengthen the suit as well as providing basic components for energy generation and life sustainment. The original Orion suit's research equipment were converted to defensive/offensive systems (standard power armor) to meet its new requirements.

Background
An avid technologist, Titus grew up tinkering with robotics and cybernetics since he was 12. He was also highly competitive and regularly participated in design and "Robot War" competitions and frequently outperformed competitors twice his age. Always the perfectionist, he was less interested in the "glory" of winning but was more driven in testing and proving his designs. As he grew, his studies and interests drew him to nanotechnology later becoming one of the leading scientists in the field. His scholastic resume included doctorates in nuclear physics, artificial intelligence, robotics, and nanotechnology. Although not a natural genius, his exceptional drive, endurance, and creativity allows him to compete with more intelligent peers.
His most recent employment involved the development of a next generation space suit for long-range space travel in harsh atmospheres. He based his design on special ceramics and polymers in combination of AI enabled nanotechnology capable of self-healing and energy generation -- years ahead of current design concepts. He named his project the Orion Suit given after its intended destination. Unfortunately, his designs were tampered with by a competing scientist and user-acceptance testing for the prototype was met with dismal failure. This led to the cancellation of the program.
Unfamiliar with such failures, Titus continued to work on the Orion suit and subsequently improved upon it. He realized however that his designs were largely untested. Upon hearing about the HERO games, he saw it as a perfect venue to test his suit. It would be subjected to the harshest conditions imaginable and his brief stint in the military gave him the basics of combat. Engrossed with reversing his failure and proving his design, Titus became obsessed with the suit and the competition. He began to retreat into his little world.
A sudden event awoke him from his stupor however. A message relaying the murder of his mother went unopened for more than a week and subsequent calls were unknowingly missed. Although the murderer was immediately apprehended, Titus began to question his blinding obsession. Returning to the faith of his mother, he began to remember the transient nature of humanity. To what use were all his accomplishments if they were for selfish gain? He then remembered a preacher say once that the glory of man is but a flower and fades just as quickly. With the still small voice he was familiar with as a youth, he felt that God had other plans for him.
It did not take much more than that still small voice. Titus soon found himself in front of the Guardians' Tower. The next thing he knew, an Artificial Intelligence named VIOLET was scanning him and he was about to go inside for an interview. He dubbed himself as Orion Prime, named after his Orion suit. He spent many years with the Guardians and rapidly grew within their ranks. His constant drive and tinkering led him to found their Advanced Weapons Lab. Continuing to prove himself and his ability to lead many successful large-scale missions, he eventually became their Operations Officer and Second-in-Command.
The fateful day arrived however when VIOLET was compromised and VIPER struck the Guardian's Tower. It will never be known how VIOLET was compromised but evidences seemed to point to an inside source. Despite the eventual victory of the Guardians and their allies, the Tower fell and many Guardians died that day.
With the Tower ruined and many friends dead, Orion Prime filled the vacuum of leadership. He picked up the pieces and reorganized the survivors. Orion Prime adorned the mantle of leadership and The Ultimate Guardians emerged from the ashes of the Guardians.
Realizing the need for better cooperation with other organizations and heroes, he began to liaise with other Super Groups such as UNTIL and The Champions. Continually looking for ways to improve the Ultimate Guardians, Titus saw the need to revamp the curriculum of the Guardian Academy in order to mentor "gifted" young individuals to shape them into heroes. Soon however, he found himself overwhelmed with responsibilities. As a liaison officer and as the Director of the Guardian Academy, Orion Prime eventually stepped down from operational leadership with the Ultimate Guardians.
The Guardians
At present, Titus heads the advanced weapons lab of the Guardians' Tower. He constantly tweaks his suit and enjoys testing it in the Guardians' Combat Simulation Room, sparring with fellow Guardians, and via the HERO games as TNT. He has risen through the ranks rapidly due to his maturity and capability to lead operations in the field.
The Orion Suit
The Orion suit is an advanced suit intended to withstand the harsh conditions of space and planetary atmospheres. It was given its name based on its original destination. It is composed of special ceramics and polymers to give it both exceptional strength and flexibility. It is honeycombed with microscopic tunnels that are used by millions of nanites that act as blood cells to provide both power and rapid self repair. It is powered by nuclear energy and has a completely self-contained atmosphere.
The suit was given offensive capabilities after Titus converted it to fight crime instead of exploring galaxies. Weapon system capabilities currently classified. ((Under Construction))
