Gravitar
Gravitar aka Erica d'Monstressart
About
Gravitar, considered an omega class mutant, was born with the ability to manipulate gravity and her sole ambition is to rule the world.
Background
Born to a wealthy family, Erica d’Monstressart discovered at an early age that she had the ability to manipulate gravity. Realizing that she could tell no one, she kept her abilities a secret. However, as she got older she donned a mask and began to test her abilities against the Paris police, then the French Army and eventually superhumans. Due to her nature of always getting what she wanted, whenever she wanted, the idea of ruling the world would slowly creep into her head and in 2000, she declared herself to the world. Calling herself Gravitar and giving herself more of a costume, she attacked New York City in an attempt to conquer the city. After battling with the Sentinels and destroying a large section of central park and knocking over a skyscraper, Gravitar realized the her conquest to world domination would not be as easy as she once thought, she retreated.
For the next few years Gravitar aimlessly attacked places at random, with no rhyme or reason to her conquest. She would tussle with UNTIL, various superhero teams and even some villains such as Mechanon or Eurostar, easily defeating her opponents.
When Gravitar appeared again in October of 2006, she was more serious and determined in her campaign, attacking Washington DC by raising the US Capital 500 feet in the air and threatening to drop it unless the US agreed to her rule. Thanks to the quick thinking of the Justice Squadron, the Capital Patrol and The Drifter, she was defeated. She's attacked two more times since then, Paris in 2007 and Millennium City in 2010, both times though she was narrowly defeated.
It would appear as if either Gravitar has received some sort of training/advice from someone or that she's simply focused on improving herself and her tactical knowledge. Because of this, UNTIL established a new special team in 2008 solely dedeciated to researching her, Project Newton.
