Glorgs are humanoids from the Mewix system. Their species is divided among two homeworlds, Ganthor and Onthoor, and the two planetary governments have extremely tense relations. The Ganthorians are a warmongering army of conquerors, and the Onthoorians are peaceful, exploratory pilgrims.

Physical Description
Glorgs average at the same height and weight as humans. Their skin is varying shades of orange and yellow. They have no hair anywhere on their bodies, and on their heads are 10-15 cranial ridges called sleg (plural, slegle) which produce a slightly fragrant oil. This oil is harmless and natural but sometimes contains pheromones, which can allow glorgs to track each other or remain aware of each other's intentions. Other pheromone-producing species are usually sensitive to glorg pheromones and vice versa. The pheromones are not intense enough to mind-control or convey orders, but can enhance empathy and make it easier to keep track of each other in a crowd.
Glorgs have large, solid-colored eyes which can appear to glow in the right lighting. Psionic glorgs almost always have pink eyes. Glorgs who suffer from albinism have either white or pale blue eyes. Natural, healthy glorg eyes can be any color, ranging from dark to bright, but fashion contacts are popular on Onthoor, and include rainbow, glitter, or glow-in-the-dark contacts.
Culture
The culture of the glorgs' two homeworlds are different.
Ganthorian
Ganthorian culture is structured and severe. All Ganthorian life revolves around their military and their ruler, Empress Zorg. Zorg's Imperial Army is an advanced, ruthless force capable of destroying planets. When they set their sights on a world they want, they either conquer it, enslave its people, or destroy all life on its surface.
Service to the Empress is regarded as the highest honor a Ganthorian can achieve. The higher one's rank in the military, the more money, respect, and even fame one can earn. Those who farm, sell clothing, run small businesses, or operate outside of direct involvement with the Imperial Army are considered second-class citizens. However, their lives are still bountiful on average, as Ganthor has a thriving planetary economy, what with all the looting done on enemy planets.
Ganthorians believe the glorg are destined to be the rulers of the entire universe. Ganthorian glorg scientists claim evidence within glorg DNA which indicates they are superior beings to all other humanoids. Because of this, war has never been declared on Onthoor, as its 95% glorg population is considered an enormous sacrifice.
Onthoorian
Onthoor culture is very open and encourages freedom. A largely religious world, Onthoor has a huge clergy and many of its high-ranking politicians and other leaders are also leaders within their church. Most off-world activity is diplomatic or performed in pilgrimage, and young Onthoorians are encouraged to enroll in interstellar academies.
However, Onthoor's military presence is incredibly small. Because of their proximity to Ganthor, the planet is rarely attacked or even sought in a peaceful way, and Onthoorian interaction with other worlds is very limited.
The small personal ships exploring the galaxy are the extent of most species' exposure to Onthoorian glorgs. Because of this, most glorgs the galaxy has seen are Ganthorian, and glorgs in general are approached with caution.
Technology
The glorg race has achieved more, technologically, than the human race. Wealthy glorgs sometimes have computers built directly into their heads, and most military personnel, surgeons, and other technologically-reliant professionals have at least one chip integrated into their mind, accessed via thought. They usually use these mind computers to access internet databases, communicate with peers, and keep logs.
While mind computers aren't available to every member of the glorg populace, metalweave clothing, advanced portable home computers with holographic interfaces, and planet-wide instant communication are utilized by most citizens.
All but the rarest of genetic diseases have been removed from their population due to advances in medicine. Genetic tampering for the purposes of beauty or ability is being advanced, and accessible to the wealthiest of the populations. While they haven't caught up to the malvans, the Ganthorian glorgs believe they will one day surpass them.
Relations
- The Ganthorian glorgs have never made direct contact with Earth's governments. They've only sent small, secret scout ships carrying elite members of the Empress's Army, who have battled Earth's heroes.
- A few members of the IDDSS are Onthoorian glorgs, but Onthoor is not officially considered an allied planet.
- Ganthor is at war with numerous planets, including Aegle, and there is a planned invasion of Earth. They are also at war with the IDDSS, Astral Corp, and every superhero team operating in space they've encountered so far.
Genetics
Glorgs evolved from an insect-like species.
Half-glorg children have occurred in glorg & non-glorg pairings, but it's extremely rare.
Whether the glorgs first evolved on Ganthor or Onthoor is a topic of endless debate. There are no apparent genetic differences between the two populations, and whatever colonization history there may have been is lost.
