Its believed, or better yet theorized, that Glitch's powers work via the manipulation of virtual particles and enthalpy in a given system or object; therefore, allowing him to mimic a variety of glitches and cheats experienced in video games in real life. This can range from noclip, the ability to pass through objects, tele-frag, the ability to teleport into the current position that being occupied by another person, lagging, a delay in frame-rate processing that makes people experience slowed/hindered movement, and "rubberbanding", a hiccup in network latency that results in subjects "bouncing" to their appropriate destination due to client/server de-synchronization.
This is just to name a few of the many glitches that Darrell can replicate with his powers alone, but they aren't limited to just them. Some of his more exhaustive powers and abilities include:
Darrell can also use his data pixels to shape and create holographic weaponry and force-fields, a trait likely associated with the manipulation of virtual particles and quantum fluctuation in a given space. Finally, Darrell's abilities allow him to emulate technological glitches and malfunctions seen in machinery and computer softwares, some of these capabilities include but certainly aren't limited to: rendering weapons inert, cause heavy machinery to either break down or malfunction, or even manipulate a person's overall motor-skills so that they can be used against them; oftentimes referring to this technique as a "glitch" in the individual's system.
However, despite the seemingly endless array of powers he seems to possess, Darrell's abilities come with the major downside of leaving him drained of his own internal energy if he's to go too far beyond his personal threshold. Once this happens, Darrell is forced to fall back and work out an alternate plan of attack at least until he regains his strength and energy again.
- Databending: Darrell can use virtual energy to freely warp the "information" (molecules) inside an object in order to create or turn them into real life glitches and pixelations. This process is known as "databending" or "datamoshing" and usually puts the object "out of phase" with reality thus rendering its tangibility temporarily inert/non-existent until the glitch effect wears off naturally or when Darrell decides to lift it himself. Either way, this technique is a common ploy used by Darrell to prevent enemies from gaining access to lethal weaponry that can harm either him, bystanders, or just pose a possible collateral damage risk to the surrounding environment.
- Digital Pirating: If he's ever in a bind where he needs a quick surge of energy, needs to replenish his energy reserves, or even heal quickly, Darrell can "pirate" the electro-static energy present in nearby electronics in order to heal himself for a time and put him back in fighting condition. This electro-static energy can come from anywhere whether its a cell phone, computer, laptop, tablet, or even a smartwatch.
- Equipment Malfunction: Darrell can manipulate his data pixels to override the performance of any piece of equipment and cause it to malfunction. This ability isn’t always guaranteed though as varying pieces of equipment or machinery experience different effects. Most of the time, the malfunction or “glitch” that's put in place is never permanent and the equipment in question will usually revert to normal operation(s) after a few minutes or seconds. Due to this drawback, this ability is often reserved for moments where a quick escape or distraction is needed.
- Lag Inducement: Darrall’s harnessing of virtual particles allows him to use them to create ‘disruptions' in the speed of molecules that make up a person’s entire being. Because of this, Darrell can decelerate the overall flow of a person’s molecules and simulate a “lag” effect where the individual moves at a much slower pace than normal before their original speed and momentum “snaps back” to the rate it was originally performing at.
- Logic Bomb Creation: Darrell can set off "bombs" of tightly compacted pixels and data bursts that can explode into a wave of concussive energy upon its detonation; scrambling the senses and mental faculties of his target. This typically leaves his enemies temporarily unable to think, speak, read, or recognize familiar faces for about thirty-seconds to a minute before the effects of the "Logic Bomb" wear off.
- Signal Boost: Should he ever need to get to a high vantage point at all, Darrell can fire a two concentrated surges of virtual energy (from both hands) directly at the ground in order to propel himself upward and send him airborne. This often done whenever he needs to cross large gaps his teleportation or trick-jumping abilities can't carry him far or long enough for. This also allows for quick and effortless movement/transportation throughout terrains that're void of many buildings or artificial structures.
- System Crash/Override: Sometimes referred to as the “Big Bang”, Darrell, with the enough harnessing of virtual energy, can completely override and crash a technology system and render it completely useless and inert. This essentially is a naturally-made EMP-like effect that Darrell only uses in the most dire of situations and because of its extreme nature, it typically leaves him drained of energy. As a result, this power is yet another last resort/ditch effort whenever Darrell finds that he needs to end a particular conflict quickly.
- Torrent Blasts: Darrell can shoot beams of pixelated energy from his hands, an ability he has since come to recognize as his Torrent Blasts. This is perhaps Darrell's main form of offensive attack and the effects of a torrent blast can vary depending on the intensity Darrell subconsciously decides to set it to. Not too much is known about the properties of a torrent blast, but its thought that they could really being a collection of virtual particles being fired in a continuous stream at a given target. One obserable feature to Darrell's torrent blasts is that there might be a hidden electrical quality to them as most targets, at least those that are biological in nature, are prone to audibly stutter whenever hit with a blast of this energy. Mechanical or inorganic targets though have been seen to "glitch" temporarily as if they had just been shocked with a jolt of electricity. The torrent blasts are largely concussive for the most part as well, they don't appear to generate enough, if any, heat to warrant searing a hole through objects and people or even leaving scorch marks/residue in their wake.
- Weapons Jam: An easier and rather simplistic use of his powers, Darrell can effectively “jam” most weapons by using virtual energy to interfere with the kinetic, muzzle, and potential energies that are used when readying and aiming a firearm of any caliber.
- AR-Camouflage: By rearranging his molecular structure, Darrell can use his data pixels as a "mirror" in order to forcibly reflect light off of him, therefore allowing him to simulate the same effects granted through AR (Augmented Reality) to achieve temporary invisibility.Through this power, Darrell can, including his clothes, blend into his surroundings; thus allowing him to sneak up on his enemies or, in some cases, flee from them.
- Phase-Shifting: The process that Darrell recognizes as "phase-shifting" is, in reality, temporal displacement & isolation. A phenomenon where the user shifts the flow of time around either themselves, a person, object, or general area so that they will be rendered intangible to everything outside their initial (starting) temporal phase. Once this happens, a prismatic afterimages of the object or individual is mirrored back in their starting temporal phase, making it appear as though they're "flickering" or "glitching" in-and-out of reality. This ability is also selective, meaning that Darrell can make individual parts of his person intangible if he really wanted to. He can also disrupt electronics and physical matter, including those possessing invulnerability, with this method of selective phasing in order to quickly dispatch enemy targets by severing material particle bonds.
- Data Propagation: Darrell can manipulate virtual particles to tear cracks in space-time, or “shortcuts” in order to achieve feats of teleportation. By utilizing tele-transportational radiation, Darrell’s shortcut rifts can disassemble matter or energy into its finest components and reassemble them upon arrival at his/their desired location. This power is sometimes thought to be Darrell utilizing a form or variation of "quantum tunneling" as he can also use this power to transport through barriers that may be designed specifically to work against teleporters.
- Digital Screen Transportation: In recent years, Darrell has mastered the ability to teleport via digital screens. This is easier with cell phones than it is anything else like television screens, tablets, and even computer screens, but its achievable nonetheless. The only parameter is that the appliance has to be turned on in order for Darrell to teleport through it or else there's a chance he might become trapped in what he refers to as the "incorporeal world."
- Tele-Frag: An offensive use of his teleportation abilities, Darrell can “tele-frag” himself in the exact location in which an enemy target is standing and forcefully push them out of the way.
- Trick-Jumping: Another usage of this ability Darrell has since learned how to do is a process known as "trick-jumping." It turns out that whenever Darrell teleports, he actually maintains a steady stream of energy and momentum when he ports from point A to B. This has since been utilized as an alternate transportation method by Darrell combining his parkour and climbing skills with his teleportation in order to perform indefinite wall runs, climbs, and jumps so that he can quickly travel throughout the city.
- Holographic Projections: Darrell can create solid three-dimensional items from artificial light in order to manifest hard-light constructs. These constructs have come to be known as Holographic Projections, or Holo-Projections for short. It is through these Holo-Projections that Darrell can create anything such as shields, weapons, or illusions to better suit him for offensive or defensive combat. The Holo-Projections also possess their own audio capabilities in order to give sound to some of Darrell's more complex constructs and they are fueled by the electrostatic energy he has previously absorbed from a nearby electronic or object that runs on electrical power. Darrell can also selectively choose whether they are either tangible or intangible by casting a wireframe within them that allows them to maintain their cohesion and stability. When these holograms are created they either take the form of translucent constructs with a circuitry overlay running throughout their form or, depending on the frequency, a photo-realistic image or visage over the hologram in order to create a distraction that'll divert enemy attention away from Darrell and/or his allies. The only limit to the projections is Darrell's own imagination and how much energy is left in the tank to create bigger and more powerful projections.
- AR-Construct Creation: Perhaps the most common usage of his holo-projections, Darrell can create digital AR constructs of various weapons, tools, and equipment for him to use in either ranged or melee combat. Like his force fields, these projections are naturally strong and incredibly resilient to most alternate forms of offensive energy or attacks, though an overwhelming amount of force and/or power can cause Darrell to “drop” his construct(s) and make them dissipate into virtual particles again.
- Force-Field Creation: Darrell can emit holographic force fields of varying sizes in order to protect either himself or allies from oncoming attacks. The force fields are incredibly strong despite their appearance, they are both flame and bullet resistant.
- Holographic Decoys: While it takes some time to actually get right, especially on the first try, Darrell can create holographic decoys of himself or others in order to get the drop on unsuspecting enemies. Their base form is usually that of a hard-light projection with a circuitry overlay running throughout their form, but Darrell can impose an image and or form to said projection in order to make it look more “real” and lifelike.
- Simulated Battlefield: An extreme usage of his holo-projections, Darrell can actually create an entire simulated battlefield or arena and super-impose that fake reality onto the real world. This is an ability that's rarely seen or utilized due to its “overpowered” nature as well as the nature of its capabilities are far too taxing for Darrell to handle at this point in time.
- Diagnostic Signal: Darrell appears to possess an extraordinary sixth sense that allows his mind to operate like an analytical engine, capable of detecting and rapidly responding to perturbations going on in the world around him related to his current positioning (i.e. the space, room, or location he would be occupying at that particular moment). This ability is described by Darrell as a "static-like" sensation that starts in the back of his head and moves throughout his entire body, growing stronger and "louder" the closer he is to making an optimal choice in his own critical thinking skills.
Sometimes known as “Signaling”, Darrell recognizes it moreso as a "diagnostic sweep" of his current environment that starts with what feels like a subtle "thunk" in the back of his head which is actually his brain automatically sending out a neural pulse that parses his surroundings by absorbing cascading data and energy coming in from the world around him. Then, through a complex mental algorithm, multiple information streams (e.g. threat assessment, global positioning, observational, and situational awareness) are generated that allow Darrell to swiftly analyze and rapidly respond to changing tactical situations, by identifying the variables and adjusting the outcome to whichever is most favorable to him. While this ability isn't a "danger sense" per se, it does provide Darrell with the means of analyzing, identifying and critically evaluating a potential threat or outcome at a subconscious level before acting upon it. Darrell's diagnostic signal acts more so as a means of providing him with a heightened awareness of his surroundings, situation, and possible outcomes that might result in heavy collateral damage or even death if there is to ever be a lack in his own critical thinking.
This doesn't go without saying that Darrell can also elect to "ignore" his signal sense and operate against it. The pulse would appear to have an intelligence of its own and will occasionally only relay outcomes that benefit Darrell specifically and not those around him, thus implying that this power isn't always reliable in the best (or worst) of times as it'll sometimes put Darrell's well-being over those he is trying to protect and/or save.
- Mental Firewall: While this doesn't make him completely immune to telepathy or even mental manipulation, in the time since his first adventure with Quantum League that saw him become mind-controlled by a band of magic-using villains, Darrell has since trained his mind to be more resilient to telepaths and psionics. Darrell can erect a "neural firewall" that can protect him from outside mental influence and direct mental attacks, probes, or detection. Darrell has even trained himself to subconsciously make this firewall stronger once the presence of outside influence is felt or detected by him personally.
- Superhuman Durability: It would appear that Darrell possesses some lower-tier enhanced durability. Allowing him to survive the most deadly of impacts and collisions.
- Accelerated Recovery Rate: Darrell's body appears to heal and recover from most extensive injuries at a much faster rate than normal humans can. Much to his chagrin, Darrell dislikes calling it a "healing factor" as it would appear that most injuries aren't instantly healed in a matter of minutes or hours, but over the course of a full night's rest. This would imply that rather than a proper healing factor, Darrell actually possesses an accelerated recovery rate that sees him capable of having quick "turnaround" periods to bounce back from most minimal-to-severe injuries so long as he's given the ample time to rest. In layman's terms, Darrell's natural healing is still the same as any other humans, but the rate of recovery that would see him back in fighting shape is what is truly "enhanced" about him. This power also provides Darrell with a heightened immune system that renders him less susceptible to most forms of drugs and/or toxins that are to find themselves in his bloodstream.
- Peerless Hacker/Programmer: Darrell's sheltered life led to him developing a knack for computers and software development, so much so that he was eventually enrolled in computer classes down at the community center in his neighborhood. While here, he developed his first piece of malware under the name R4Gn%r0k with Russell Lyman before it was stolen and repurposed as a virus that would aim to shut down SOCRATES and give eLite_Circuit, an aspiring cyber-terrorist group Darrell unknowingly joined, access to all of Millennium City's power grid and infrastructure. As Glitch, Darrell's hacking experience has skyrocketed immensely as he was able to tap into onboard computers of Quantum League's personal ship, despite the heavy damage that was taken to it during a supervillain attack. He's even gone in and (from what he claims) reset and reprogrammed a lot of the ship's computer systems with his own code and scripts and made it "better", claiming that whomever created it originally was a "noob" at best. Darrell's technological expertise is of the highest degree and puts him first in line for any sort of computer know-how that may be required for a mission.
- Skilled Tactician: During his time as an officer in Quantum League, Darrell often found himself having to aid in organizing strike teams and devise plans for his group. While he certainly wouldn't consider him an "expert" or "master" at the particular craft, Darrell is fond of thinking outside the box and approaching a given threat from all possible angles. Interestingly enough, Darrell also like to think on the same level psychologically as the villain or threat that he and/or his allies are up against. He does this in attempt to predict the target's next plan or method of attack and what are some ways or obstacles everyone should be aware of or take into account before just running in blindly.
- Surveillance/Communications Expert: When first welcomed into the Quantum League, Glitch signed on to be the team's surveillance and communications expert. This was due in part to having picked up a thing-or-two from eLite_Circuit's own communications officer, Kristen Ladner a.k.a Uplink. Darrell's computer expertise also enables him to be fully capable of even tapping into surveillance equipment such as cameras, microphones, and voice recorders as well as extracting whatever audio-visual evidence is needed from them or even erase them if need be.
- Parkour/Climbing Expertise: During his time with eLite_Circuit, Darrell and the rest of the team would occasionally be forced to do "on-site hacks" meaning they had to physically go to a location or building they were trying to gain entry to, rather than to hack their computers remotely. In order to allow for quick and convenient escapes in case any private security or cops were to show up, Darrell had to learn the practice of parkour and climbing. Sometimes running isn't always the best tactic and the only means of escape is to scale certain surfaces to get out of arm's reach. While this is a skilled that sees less and less use since Darrell became Glitch, its an activity that he mostly practices in his free-time, just to get a little exercise and keep his skills honed in case he can't use his Velociskates or powers to get him out of a bind.
- Byte Drones: Naming the two drones, Bit and Byte, Darrell utilizes a pair of automated drones invented by himself when he's out in the field as Glitch. The drones take on an orange coloration to match his powers and are capable of using quantum computing to link with other computers and networks, perform surveillance, fire compressed hard-light or laser blasts, and track any type of technology if given a piece of or scanning its circuitry. These drones tends to freely float around Glitch's person and can turn invisible when not in use.
- C.A.C.H.E.: Originally, just an ordinary backpack that contained a small notebook laptop and a spare change of clothes, has now been converted into portable hammerspace known as the SpaCal StorAge Compartment for Holding Everything, or C.A.C.H.E. for short. This piece of equipment is essential for Glitch as it contains most of his personal belongings and most of what he can't fit or store in his utility belt. C.A.C.H.E was a 6-month long project that Darrell worked on with a personal R&D team he had access to when he was first welcomed into the Quantum League's ranks. A signature accessory to be found on Darrell's person when out as Glitch, C.A.C.H.E. has seen its inclusion into every costume iteration he has ever gone through.
- Digital Lockpick: The digital lockpick is a device thats used to subtlety override the security measures used mainly in high-tech blast doors so that they can be breached without setting of any silent alarms. This lockpick is usually attached magnetically to the door in question should it be made of metal, but theres also a separate gadget known as a 'data-card' which is an electronic card thats preloaded with a "skeleton program" that can override security panels and terminals should the lockpick itself can't be used.
- Efficacy Suit: Darrell's costume has gone through many designs and iterations throughout his time of being hero. Originally it had a more "vigilante" look to it as his first ever costume was primarily street clothes. As the months and year progressed, the costume saw some much needed upgrades as Darrell was coming face-to-face with metahumans far more frequently than before. The latest "3.0" version of Glitch's costume is a type of "smart clothing" which makes use of micro-computers and nano-liquid circuitry embedded throughout its material in order to keep Darrell constantly "plugged into the internet". A Wi-Fi and radio receiver provide him with wireless internet access and communications with radio traffic so he can scan police radio transmissions as well as pick up radio signals too. The Wi-Fi receiver also allows Darrell backdoor access to monitor and control any systems connected to a wireless computer such as surveillance cameras, temperature/climate control functions, etc. The suit is also heavily shielded against EMPs, technopaths, and excessive uses of electricity and/or magnetic attacks, this is all to keep from having the suit's onboard systems being destroyed in the wake of a battle. Lastly, there's the hexagon-shaped module that sits comfortably on Glitch's chest. This module is sometimes recognized as a "hands-free multi-tool" due to that its jam-packed with a variety of functions such as a defibrillator that can provide a magnetic-electrical charge to Darrell's heart with two consecutive administrations should he ever flatline, project a non-lethal Pulson blast that can knock back and incapacitate opponents from a couple meters away, and project a protective force-field around Glitch's chest or his entire body the moment it detects or predicts Glitch's reaction time won't allow him to save himself in time to counter an attack. When the costume isn't in use, its stored in a portable, pocket-sized canister where it will expand to full size whenever it's needed.
- Glitchbits: These small, circular devices are usually silver-colored in appearance and are about the same size as a fifty-dollar coin. Glitchbits are electronic tracking devices used by Glitch in order to track objects or individuals through tracking software built into his suit. These are typically planted or thrown at fleeing targets so that Glitch can follow them to their hideout, in the years since becoming more established in his role as a hero, Glitch has created a mechanism in his suit that can fire these tracking devices from a distance and has even outfitted them with cloaking technology so that they can't be seen and removed by the target they've been attached to.
- Smart Mask: Not only meant to safeguard his secret identity, Darrell utilizes a mask of his own design to provide him with a heads-up display that gives him real-time information about the world around him in order to perform complex visual scans on his environment or beings around him and determine their intimate properties as well as diagnose the condition of what he observes and find inconsistencies or errors in buildings, structures, or even people. This mask also comes equipped with a voice modulator that disguises Darrell's voice to prevent speech recognition software from identifying him and an air filter that allows him to withstand gas or smoke attacks. A rebreather and proximity sensor have recently been built into the mask as well so Darrell can breathe underwater for moments at a time and detect the presence of threats he or his mask's visor can't perceive.
- Taser Tanbo: In the event he might have to resort to hand-to-hand combat, Glitch's weapon of choice are a pair of modified tanbo sticks that have been outfitted with tech that can administer an adjustable mild-to-severe electric shock that can be used to incapacitate targets with little effort. The tanbo sticks can also disburse a wave of paralytic electric energy that can be used to attack enemies at a distance.
- UFED Physical Analyzer: The physical analyzer is actually a piece of software that allows Glitch to recover lost or deleted data from any kind of electronic whether it be a computer, smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc. The analyzer is rarely used unless Glitch is conducting an investigation that warrants him needing to receive the lost data if he believes it could be valuable in solving a case. Glitch usually keeps this analyzer program preloaded on a flashdrive for ready use in case he ever needs it.
- Utility Belt: Created as a fallback whenever he's in a bind where he can't or is unable to use his powers, Glitch, wears on his person, a utility belt. While the assortment of gadgets and weaponry are known to be swapped out and/or replaced depending on the mission, the primary equipment Darrell is known to carry usually consists of miniature flashlights, lockpicks, a bag of marbles, smoke/flash/and stink bombs, sonic devices, a flare gun, zip-cuffs, EMPs, and first aid kits just to name a few. There also exist a couple of anti-metahuman specific gadgets and weaponry that Darrell keeps in the event he finds himself up against a considerable superhuman threat.
- Velociskates: Glitch's primary method of transportation outside of his short-range teleportation bursts. The Velociskates use sophisticated anti-gravity tech, likely taken from the Gadroon, to propel the wearer across most surfaces both horizonal and vertical via the use of miniature gyros. The tech is recognized as "reverse sole inserts" and are worn on the underside of footwear rather than the inside. Its also modular and allows the tech to even be used in plain clothing for quick getaways.
- Power Exertion: Darrell's powers use a lot energy, physically and mentally, and can often leave him feeling very tired or fatigued. His ability to phase-shift and create holo-projections are perhaps what depletes his energy reserves the most and as a result uses this powers rarely if he can, but excessive use can leave him unable to actually use at least some of his powers for awhile.
- Glitching: While he has a better grasp on this power than he did before, Darrell's namesake is actually one of his major weaknesses. Extremely tense situations where Darrell is experiencing moments of intense fear, anger, stress, or even shyness can lead to him subconsciously "activating" some his powers, such as phase-shifting. When this happens, Darrell can wind up making random parts of his body suddenly intangible or he can wind up turning himself partly invisible, or he can end up "flickering" and suddenly teleport to one location and back to the spot he teleported from. To compensate for this hindrance, Darrell usually tries to crack jokes whenever he can, just to avoid from having the awkwardness take him over.
- Gray Agenda: Given his background as a gray-hat hacker and his (in)ability to fully see things as black and white, Darrell will sometimes be too quick to consider options or decisions that can go against the typical moral code most heroes follow. In moments such as this, Darrell will usually remain quiet and wait to see if anyone offers a better solution that he never/didn't think of, but when every last counter-measure has been considered or thought about, he will commit or consider acts such as murder if theres no other choice.
- Arrogance/Overconfidence: It feels good to be on the winning team, especially when your team has pulled victory after victory time and again. This leads to Darrell becoming overconfident and arrogant in his actions. Its not often that he underestimates an opponent unless they've managed to prove themselves a capable threat and its at that moment that he will decide to wise up and prepare a better plan of attack.
- Anti-Network Viruses: Facing off against Trojan taught Darrell that Network Users that are capable of creating their own "viruses" can disable his powers. Trojan was capable of disabling and making Darrell's powers work less effectively and even destabilize his holo-projections' stability so that they are intangible like actual holograms. As a result, Darrell has to fall back on using his arsenal of gadgets in order to properly take down a User with a corrupted connection to the Network.
ARC TEMPEST
Real Name: Nayare Saville
Skills/Abilities: Electrokinesis, Teleportation
"Arc Tempest, or as most people call her, Arc, is...different to say the least. She's an ex-member of the Quantum League and lets just her ways of being a loose cannon and inability to really take things seriously often led to her butting heads with leadership. Her brief stunt as a small-time villain from the UK likely also didn't help too much either as it often made those suspicious whether or not this sudden shift to the hero life is actually a legitimate one or something she's "trying out" until she grows bored of it."'
"So far, I'm fortunate enough to say that doesn't look to be the case...yet at least because while her knucklehead behavior can often derail a plan of action or mission, Nayare is till great company to have around you in a social setting. She breathes life into the room and pretty much forces the silent and introverted like myself into actually speaking, which I must say is rare and exceptional quality one could ever possess."
THE CHAMELEON
Real Name: Chanelle Perry
Skills/Abilities: Enhanced Physical Attributes/Peak Physical Conditioning, Invisibility, Energy-based Reptilian Skin
"Chanelle Perry also known as the Chameleon. Not sure what to say about this one other than she pulls off green and somehow manages to keep her hair looking perfect in the heat of battle. I first met her when I joined up with The Quantum League and dare I say did I feel under-dressed walking into the room with a bomber jacket and hoodie as opposed to all the fancy, colorful tights they had on."
"Chanelle is a determined young woman and always seems to approach most situations head-on with both tenacity and vigor, but deep down I feel as though there's a side of her that she's yet to show or express. Maybe it's due to fear, anxiety, or just stubbornness. Her position as commander likely makes it feel as though she can't show signs of weakness out of not wanting to unintentionally instill doubt in the rest of the team's capabilities, but she's human like everyone. Her drive to want everyone to be the best they can probably helps distract her from some deep-rooted thoughts or memories she refuses to revisit."
DOMAIN
Real Name: Zoya Okafor
Skills/Abilities: Mental Manipulation, Neurokinesis
"Zoya, known to many by her more popular name, Domain, was one of the first street-level heroes I met after becoming Glitch. Leader of a Vibora Bay-sanctioned resistance group known as OUTBreak, this lady is the definition of fierce. All bite and bark, but knows how to switch it up and keep things tame if need be. Domain's powers of mental domination and neurokinesis make her a threat to anyone with a brain and definitely not one to mess with."'
"She's driven and motivated to whatever her mission may contain and doesn't stop until she sees it through to the end. Definitely one you want by your side if you find yourself down and not wanting to get back up."
UPDATE: Domain currently leads a new social activism/resistance team known as the Astrals.
FLASHPOINT
Real Name: Arielle Altomare
Skills/Abilities: Pyrokinesis, Pyrokinetic Flight, Heat Control/Absorption, Dragon Transformation(?)
"First, let me tell you how ironic it must be to be named Arielle, have red hair, but possess pyrokinetic abilities over water-based powers and the ability to breath underwater. Anyway, Arielle a.k.a Flashpoint is perhaps like the younger sister I never had. Joining the Quantum League at only 18 years old, Arielle is a fierce, determined and literally hot-blooded Italian with a love for cooking and making sure her friends are safe by whatever means necessary."
"If anyone threatens them or comes in the way of harming them, she gets pissed. This little lady is who I have to thank for blessing me with my current culinary skills as if it weren't for her, I'd still be ordering pizza and Chinese food everyday. Arielle is following in her grandfather's footsteps he forged when he was a superhero and only hopes that she can honor his memory in the best way she can. And that is by helping everyone and anyone she can while also making a few friends along the way.
OVERCLOCK
Real Name: Carlos Hernandez
Skills/Abilities: Hyperkinesis
'My boy Specs, the leader of the Quantum League. Favorite catchphrase: "[Something] [Something]...My ship". Gotta say that the guy takes himself too seriously at times, but I suppose that it can come with the territory of being a leader. I try to crack a joke or two to get him to loosen up, but seems as though this can work sometimes and not at all really. I can tell the guy is partly nervous about the position he holds because he's worried about if he's doing it right".
"Personally, I don't think that should be the biggest concern, instead it should be how you can get things done effectively. Results speak louder than actions in my book and if the day can be saved or the mission is done with little-to-no hiccups, casualties, or minimal property damage. Then its a win all the way around to me."
RECLUSA
Real Name: Anna Trent
Skills/Abilities: Superhuman Physical Attributes, Surface Adhesion, Enhanced Senses, Healing Factor, Master Martial Artist
"Anna was probably the one I bonded with the most during my time with the QL. I don't know why but I feel like we just click and understand one another despite from what I can recall having very little in common. As Reclusa, Anna has had a very rough several years of being a superhero. Scratch that. Several decades of being a superhero."
"Every time she's tried to walk away from it all she's been pulled back in and lost so much from it. Gotta give it up to her for sticking it out so long. Reclusa also served as Chameleon's mentor so a lot of Anna's legacy and teachings live on through Chanelle which, if you ask me, I don't think there's anyone better to leave her mantle behind to."
SISTER SALEM
Real Name: Serena Foster
Skills/Abilities: Entropic Energy Manipulation, Telekinesis, Precognition
"Serena the not-so-Teenage Witch. One of The Quantum League's newer members compared to our last lineup of members, Serena is...different. Her powers, while impressive, are very volatile and have the potential of being incredibly dangerous if not kept under close examination. Serena is perhaps the most studious member I've met so far. Eager to learn more about herself and her abilities with each day, though its clear that her powers' destructive nature are scary to her, which is understandable."
"I do believe that with the right amount of training and control, she has the potential of being on par with Witchcraft with the level of power she possesses. Though only time shall inevitably tell."
FIREWALL
Real Name: Ramsey Deacon
Skills/Abilities: Pyro-based Datakinesis, Datakinetic Force-Field Creation, Phase-Shifting
"Ramsey Dominic was eLite_Circuit's cybersecurity specialist. There was no firewall or defense system he could crack, having him on our side was a good thing because he effectively made our own security virtually unhackable. I learned a lot from him in how to always to always protect yourself online in more ways than just VPNs and firewalls, the name he chose for himself is a little ironic, but honestly it was the most fitting given his specialty."
"It hurt having to slap the cuffs on the man who taught me all about cyber-security. But his lessons live on in the work I do in and out of the suit."

GRAVESTONE
Real Name: Michael Kingston
Skills/Abilities: Superhuman Strength, Superhuman Durability, Temperature/Atmospheric Adaptation, Concrete-like Skin
"Most of his associates know him as "The Mountain", but people on the streets refer to him as 'Gravestone' because thats what he makes of those who dare cross him. CEO of Kingston Enterprises and an underground kingpin for weapons manufacturing, drug smuggling and human trafficking, Michael Kingston is one of Millennium City's worst offenders hiding in plain sight.
"Stories say he's undergone some experimentation that's granted him the ability to shift his skin into concrete with superhuman strength to boot. With money and power at his disposal, Kingston proves to be a considerable threat to the heart of this city.

POINDEXTER
Real Name: Alec Benson
Skills/Abilities: Superhuman Intelligence, Analytical Precognition, Expert Statistician
"No flashy costume, no crazy energy blasts or phase-shifting. Just his mind. Alec Benson a.k.a Poindexter possesses a superhuman intelligence that grants him the ability to "predict" the outcome of a plan, event, or scheme based on its overall probability. What's worse is, he takes advantage of his "Average Joe" appearance to make confronting him in-person look as though a superhero is shaking down a regular person that's done nothing wrong."
"Clearly, taking down Poindexter is going to require more than just raw power and strength, but my mind as well."

TROJAN
Real Name: Eugene Hawkins
Skills/Abilities: AR-Camouflage, Malware Creation, Holographic Illusions
"Eugene Hawkins. Brilliant, but reclusive. His specialty was in malware, more specifically trojans. He enjoyed when his victims were unaware of his presence so he could monitor everything they did online without them knowing. I picked up my knack for installing backdoor viruses and malware from him. He chose the name Trojan because he preferred to be unseen and blend in with the rest of the background noise."
"Catching him wasn't easy as Trojan's primary ability is to rely on phase-shifting which pretty much made him a ghost and he could create his own encryption code which would interfere with my powers. Luckily, he depleted himself of his energy reserves, which left him open for a counter-attack from me. He's currently back in PRIMUS custody."

UPLINK
Real Name: Kristen Ladner
Skills/Abilities: Technopathy, Surveillance/Communications Expert, Genius-Level Intellect
"Kristen Ladner was the group's little sister. Her field of expertise was surveillance and communications, she was the one that was always disabling cameras a whenever eLite_Circuit found themselves going on "field missions". I learned everything audio-visual surveillance and gadgetry from this girl and it lives on in my adventures as Glitch."
"As Uplink, the Polychoron gave Kristen the ability to mentally control technology. Pair this with her brilliant mind for toy gadgets and weaponry made her a force to be reckoned with. She used her powers to go after child predators on the internet...by killing them. While I eventually caught and turned her in. Trojan and her are still thought to be redeemable and PRIMUS are looking into ways to use their powers for good."

- Hacker communities big and small appear to look up to Glitch as a sort of role model or even a celebrity and discuss him frequently in their respective chat channels. Your character might've caught wind of Glitch's existence that way, if your character is also a computer prodigy and/or frequents those communities.
- Glitch can be very mischievous and sometimes spray-tags locations he's previously been or stopped a crime at. Usually these tags are just a styled blue-colored "G" with orange-and-green pixels emanating off it. Maybe you've seen them around the city.
- While Glitch hasn't worked with PRIMUS or UNTIL in anyway, he is most certainly on their radar. Affiliates of either organization likely have heard of the hero through gathered surveillance of his exploits captured by local news or cell phone footage.
- Furthermore, Glitch is technically an unregistered hero and while this isn't a bad thing necessarily, his level of power has warranted PRIMUS agents and affiliates to consider reaching out to the hero and getting him to register so he can work alongside them.
- Finally, while Glitch isn't a villain in anyway, the Superhuman Survey predicts that if Glitch were to ever go rogue, he'd be an Delta-class threat - which means that he would pose a credible threat to the national security of the United States. For context, this would mean Glitch is a greater threat than Cybermind who possesses similar, albeit mostly technopathic, abilities like Glitch, but is deemed a Beta-level threat by the Department of Defense.
- Furthermore, Glitch is technically an unregistered hero and while this isn't a bad thing necessarily, his level of power has warranted PRIMUS agents and affiliates to consider reaching out to the hero and getting him to register so he can work alongside them.
- Strangely enough, Glitch has amassed his own cult following on social media aptly known as "Glitchers." These individuals usually dress up in crudely made versions of one of Glitch's many costumes he's worn thus far and perform dances, recite phrases from movies or shows, or just perform skits in front of their cell phone cameras.
- Glitchers are mostly recognized by their clever recreations of Glitch's iconic mask which as sense become his unofficial iconography online and therefore has raised public attention about him and his exploits.
- Glitch sometimes hacks the hovering billboards around Renaissance Center and replaces the advertisements with memes...and usually signs his name to them.
- As a pastime, Glitch usually pays visits to the low-income neighborhoods of Millennium City and tries to help give back to the communities.
- This ranges from participating in volunteer-relief efforts or even teaching computer classes at the same community center he once attended.
- Glitch's efforts do appear to be mainly centered on the Grove as that neighborhood is perhaps the most neglected in Millennium City and goes unrecognized or acknowledged by local politicians.
- This ranges from participating in volunteer-relief efforts or even teaching computer classes at the same community center he once attended.
- Between the various emoticons Glitch's mask displays and captured video footage of him in action, Glitch has become the subject of various memes and sh*t-posts.
- "Yes, I can charge your phone for you...": Because some measure of Darrell's powers use electrical energy, he can actually send a high enough voltage to fully charge a phone or any other electronic device to 100% in only a few seconds.
- Emoticon-Projecting Mask: Because Darrell's face is fully obscured when he's out as Glitch, his mask has the ability to project emoticons such: [:), :(, :|, ^_^, ^o^, >:(] in order display his current emotion behind it.
- "EMPs don't work on me...": Its a common misconception that Darrell's powers must rely on the use of electronics or nearby technology. This oftentimes leads to the idea that Glitch can be "disabled" or "taken out" via the use of an electromagnetic pulse (EMP). This, however, is not the case as Darrell's powers are apart of him and are also slightly esoteric in nature as well. Its because of this that EMPs are largely ineffective against him.
- "Also, I'm not a Technopath": Furthermore, its also common for hero types like Glitch to be technopaths. Darrell, however, is NOT a technopath as he can't telepathically communicate or control technology. Its not in his power-set as he has rely on pure skill and knowledge in order to operate a piece of machinery or use an electronic or type of computer that's foreign to him.
- Introvert: On most occasions, Darrell doesn't make the first move to initiate conversation, at least not with people he doesn't know. When around friends, its easy for this introversion to conceal itself as he's surrounded by those he trusts and knows, this is a lot harder for people he's still getting used to. Regardless of the fact, he will still manage to try and carry a conversation for as long as he can once the ball does get rolling, he'll insert a joke or two as a means of breaking any sort of tension or awkwardness between him and the other party involved.
- Super-Secretive Identity: As the world progresses further and further into the digital era, technology is starting to evolve in order to keep up with the demand. As a result, Darrell is super protective of his secret identity. While wearing his mask, he uses a voice modulator to disguise he vocal patterns so speech recognition software doesn't pick it up and his visor uses a two-way mirror lens so that he can see out but no one can see in. This was done so that his identity can't be pinpointed via the use of a retina scan. Lastly, his mask is outfitted to send an electrical shock if anyone either than himself attempts to remove it during periods of unconsciousness.
- Technical Difficulties: Occasionally whenever Darrell steps into a room, especially one packed with computers and other electronics, his presence has a tendency to make things act "wonky". This includes TVs flickering, computers running slow, video games glitching and lagging, and sometimes he can even make non-electronic items such as lights and lamps start to flicker and cause fire alarms to start beeping. This usually last for a couple seconds before eventually subsiding.
- Wise-Cracker: His jokes tend to be hit-or-miss on most occasions, but Darrell has been known to crack a joke both in costume and out. Depending on who you are or who you ask, these jokes can very lame or very funny, either way Darrell seems to use this playful nature as a means of mitigation and distraction. In costume, he does this to distract from his own fear from taking him over in battle while out of costume, he mostly seems to do this to avoid from any awkward silences or pauses in conversation. A tactic that proves to be sometimes effective and other times, not so much.
