Overview
COMPASS, fully known as the Coalition for Organizing Metahuman Policing and Security Services, is an organization based in downtown Millennium City that facilitates social services and human resources for metahuman and non-empowered clients within the superhero community. The team's membership primarily consists of recognized superheroes who operate near-exclusively within city limits.
COMPASS personnel are fielded to conduct routine urban patrols and respond to broadcast emergencies, assisting authorities (such as the MCPD) as needed. Members may also conduct public relations on behalf of the team, whether in or out of costume-- most commonly involving outreach to the general public.
The group's primary mission is to coordinate, or at times outright provide, social assistance for struggling superheroes that reside in Millennium City and its environs. This includes some of the following:
- Orientation to Millennium City for new residents
- Counselling for those dealing with the onset or persistence of metahuman abilities, and those whom it might affect
- Introduction to powered livelihood, meta-civilian training and co-operative work placements
- Quality of life assistance (civilian funding procurement for essential shelter, clothing, provisions)
COMPASS does reserve the right to refer its clients to ASPRA, PRIMUS, or other official organizations where it deems necessary.
