Unit Deployment Record - Designed by Dr. Tao, senior robotics researcher for first UNTIL, then VIPER. Dr. Tao was captured and brainwashed by the terrorist group. She had been researching the development of an autonomous artificial intelligence platform as a means to counter metahuman threats without the need for unreliable "hero"-styled individuals.

VIPER took her research and applied it toward augmenting their own robotics research, and the prototype, WARHEAD, was created.

After a period of testing, the model was taken offline while Dr. Tao sought to improve upon the prototype. It was during this period the VIPER base was raided by several Millenium City heroes, and the VIPER forces routed. One of the heroes recognized the potential threat posed by WARHEAD and took the model to Dr. Silverback for analysis.

Dr. Silverback recognized the potential of the unit and wiped its memory banks clean. He spent the next month creating a new set of protocols, and a series of failsafes. The revised model featured a higher level of autonomous reasoning, virtual intellegence level situational analysis and response capabilities. Dr. Silverback has tasked WARHEAD to monitor and respond to high level threats to Millenium City and its citizens with maximum force.

Now a protector instead of a weapon of mass destruction, WARHEAD patrols the skies of Millenium City with ceaseless vigilance.
