Has a dimensional parasite/symbiote that has attached itself to him which is likely the cause of his rift magic, Knowledge of Eldritch and divine magic, channelling energy through dimensional rifts, teleportation, interdimensional travel knowledge of various dimensions, knowledge of various languages. Has training in various firearms, is by no means an expert however. Has heightened spatial and threat awareness thanks to the "other guy". Faster than normal human regeneration(A broken bone would heal in a few days.)

Tesseract is a human from another version of Earth, dubbed by him as EarthSV209 (Stellarverse planet 209). On EarthSV209 The Babylonian, Akkadian and Atlantean people would all remain and their cultures and power spread throughout the known earth, some battles and wars took place but only a rare few, for the most part they were peaceful. This earth was in perfect harmony and the threats they would face would be external, cosmic or demonic they would prevail with the assistance of a being named Aodrassyl or Ao, for millennia it served as SV209s protector and no threat was to big to overcome Ao. Without fear and conflict the technology of SV209 would skyrocket mega cities took up all of the landmass and the Atlanteans would form enormous aquatic cities thus the world would become an Ecumenopolis. One day the being Ao would suddenly betray Earth violently massacring its residents and levelling the cities to the ground. In the bowels of Mountain City Asriel would meditate with cybermonks to perform a great teleportation, he and many other 'ports'(people with the powers of teleportation) were their only hope. They were sent out in droves to other worlds with the monks enhancing their powers, however, an entity drew Asriel in, pulling him to another dimension however in doing so; perhaps by chance or perhaps planned a parasite made of pure rift energy, attached itself to Asriels being, upon arriving at this other dimension he was greeted by Wroshar a being of immense wisdom, a twisting tree whose branches apparently reached alternative dimensions. It told Asriel of his new passenger and taught him to use dimensional rifts to channel his energy. It is unclear who Wroshar was teaching but it had benefitted Asriel. Wroshar sent Asriel up one of his branches where he arrived at this current Earth. Tesseract/Asriel was inspired by occult investigators in various media originally, however he transformed into some bizarre eccentric character from another earth and combined with my love of sci-fi and ancient earth cultures I created this. His name was inspired by the 4th dimensional shape Tesseract, also the metal band of the same name and thought it sounded cool. It has nothing to do with the marvel infinity stone.

Backstory

Upon his arrival here Asriel took the name Tesseract which represented a shape of intelligence and logic in his homeland, he wanted to embody that in his super persona. He used the powers he (or this parasite) has learned from Wroshar to aid people, he would open miniscule rifts of pure energy and channel Eldritch magic through them. Some time, due to the nature of his arrival he was approached by Harmon Labs to aid in interdimensional research it was during his time here he was given many resources to find the nature of his home. Amongst them he was given a book of Ancient Babylonian spells, these channel divine magic, it seemed he would be a natural with magic which was never used on his world. Coupled with his rift magic these spells would make him a formidable hero. He would set himself up as an occult investigator with one of his colleagues a demon named Belpharon, they have been assisting in cases of the occult and interdimensional throughout Millennium City. In tandem, Tesseract has joined up with The Quantum League and eagerly awaits a mission.

Previously in his world, Asriel was merely a tour guide and a port as previously mentioned was a person with the power of teleportation, he would use this to taxi people around and give tours of the various landmarks around the world, day in day out. As a passion he would study ancient literature that would tell of history and old technology, a lot of which was covered in basic education but he prided himself on learning all there was to know on history. The education system on SV209 was a much higher standard than basic education in this Earth so knowledge was wide and varied for everyone. Asriel would live at home with his mates Shiar, an amphibian woman of Oannian descent and Hugon a dark skinned Akkadian man, they would be his cluster what is viewed here as a polyamorous relationship was a normal group of mates in his world. They had been in the process of forming a child, grown from a safevat which included all of their combined DNA. Unfortunately, the child would never be seen by Asriel as Ao had razed the city they lived in, he did attempt many a search and rescue party but recovered neither his mates or his child from the attempts in the bleak rubble of Mountain City.

In his journey through dimensional reality, Tesseract acquired a "hitchhiker", this beings purpose, goals and intentions are entirely unknown to Tesseract however it seems to have attached itself to him. He theorizes that it has tethered itself to him to retain presence in a 3rd dimensional space. Its ever-present gaze never seems to leave Tesseract, always watching, there when he blinks, at the corner of his vision. A silhouette of pure abyssal void dotted with stars, it appears to be a small creature with an abnormally large head, spindly little limbs and stands at the height of 4ft. .
