OUR STORY
Super Latte began as a dream of Audrey Peplar. After gaining extensive experience working as a barista during her high school and college years, she developed a real passion for coffee. Being raised in Millennium City - a city of heroes - she also wanted to find some way to take that passion and use it to benefit the brave defenders of the city. In 2012 she opened the first Super Latte location in City Center, turning one woman’s dream into reality.
She set out to create a new community in Millennium City that focused that focused on making those with special abilities feel welcome, and a place for hardworking, dedicated heroes to unwind. Between hiring practices that favor the unique abilities of metahumans, discounts toward those who choose to patronize Super Latte while in uniform, to ensuring that every coffee served is ethically sourced and fair trade certified, the team at Super Latte works to ensure that everyone who enters their store can feel proud about the product they purchase.
OUR MISSION
The good people at Super Latte believe firmly in quality over quantity. This is why you won’t see an expansive menu, crowded with dozens upon dozens of options. What they lack in the number of items they more than makeup for with delicious, quality roasts and a variety of brewing methods to choose from. All the beverages offered at Super Latte are roasted locally, and sourced from farms that believe as strongly as they do in fair, ethical and sustainable methods of farming. Everyone should benefit from a good cup of coffee, starting with the farmers and ending with the person enjoying their morning cup of joe.
They also believe that quality people can come from the most extraordinary of places. Often metahumans find themselves at a disadvantage in the civilian job market. Their unique abilities often present a situation where employers may avoid hiring them, in favor of trying to be fairer to those without such abilities. At Super Latte, we believe that quality people can come from anywhere. This is why we go out of our way to provide employment opportunities for those with special abilities.
