Early Years
Sam grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. As a child he developed a love of cameras, which developed into a love of movies. In high school he was the technical director for his school news, before choosing to attend Millenium City University for Television and Film Production.
The Lightning Strikes
Sam was working as a camera operator for WCOC when his life changed forever. Working with their weather crew, he was often in the van following storms or weird weather anomalies that may be happening in the area.
One day, during a storm, Sam and the rest of the film crew were out filming when they realized they were in the eye of the storm. Their hair began to raise, the crew could all taste metal in their mouth, and their film equipment began to buzz. Knowing the tell-tale signs of what was about to happen, the crew turned to run for cover. Before Sam could get away he was struck by lightning.
The lightning strike not only hospitalized Sam, but also secretly activated a latent metagene within him. He was now able react faster, heal quicker, and run at super speed. He made his own suit and became the speedster known as Stormchaser.
Millennium City
Sam now works as the hero Stormchaser in his freetime, helping the citizens of Millenium City.
Powers/Skills/Abilities
Superhuman Speed - He is able to run at mach speeds. When he pushes himself to his top speeds, his body can appear to be almost pure lightning to the untrained eye.
Superhuman Stamina - Sam’s body has adapted to be able to run for extended periods of time with no stress on his body.
Superhuman Reflexes - Due to his speed, Sam can react to things at a quicker rate than others, such as dodging bullets.
Superhuman Agility - His body is able to move quickly, such as making hairpin turns or jump a little higher due to his super speed.
Enhanced Healing - His speed allows him to heal quicker than normal humans, though not instantaneous.
Limited Electrokinesis - If he charges up his energy, Sam is able control electricity for a limited time, such as a small and temporary forcefield, or by letting lightning arc off his body to anyone he’s around.

Public’s Perception
Stormchaser has gained some popularity amongst citizens, but is not a star by any means. He has a good relationship with MCPD, UNITY, and other heroes.
