Spiritward
Origins
Castor was born just outside of Manchester, England to his loving father and despairing mother, who walked out on he and his father when Cas was just a few weeks old. His father, however, saw in Cas what his own father saw in himself years before, and began teaching him the family business: Demonology. Carl Williams was a renowned demonologist, having written books and given lectures on the subject all through England and to numerous magic circles around the world. Cas himself was growing up to follow eagerly in his father's footsteps. This changed when Cas was just fifteen years old, as his father passed away peacefully due to a brain tumour. The young Castor was hit hard, but took it upon himself to take his father's teachings and make him proud in the best way he saw fit. He started his training almost immediately, family friends helping him to better himself physically and mentally, until his eighteenth birthday when he finally became a fully fledged and proud demon hunter, claiming his first solo kill.
Since then, he has travelled across to Millenium, settling there as it is a notorious "genius loci" or hotspot for demons and their kind.
Appearance
Castor has a medium build, but one that is well toned and athletic due to his years of training and work. He wouldn't look out of place in the centre of a boxing ring or mixed martial arts cage. He's also known for "pretty boy" good looks, but it's obvious they've taken wear and tear over the years, his face dotted with numerous scars.
On his arms, back and chest are various tattoos from numerous cultures, all in some form mystical wards and repellants of demons. The most intricate covers his shoulder blades, and is of Etruscan descent. His left shoulder blade also carries a large, deep scar, that still shows no signs of ever healing fully.
Powers and Abilities
Castor's skills mainly stem from his many years of studying demonology: What others make up for with super strength and agility, he makes up for by knowing everything he can about the things he hunts and kills. He's notoriously meticulous with his research, scouring books, the internet and anything he can find to learn every little trick he can to deal with his opponents. Because of this, he's also a fountain of knowledge when it comes to demons and related creatures.
As of January 24th 2011, Castor has carried a pair of gauntlets, known as the Gauntlets of Lothí. Forged by the demon-smith Mulciber himself, the gloves course with magical and demonic energy, made from soul-alloyed metal from the pits of Mulciber's own demesne. When wielded correctly, the gloves provide the user with additional strength and agility, and are capable of producing multiple, five inch spikes from each hand. The gloves themselves are somewhat sentient, and grow attached to their user, in this case Castor. When he is threatened and in danger of losing his life, the gloves will react, forging themselves around his body to protect him at whatever cost. It's unknown yet whether the gloves have any sway to Cas' mind.
Backing this up, he is well trained in a few martial arts, though particularly Krav Maga, to help him deal with the more normal and less supernatural threats he faces in his day to day life.
Personality
Cas is a somewhat reserved person at first, quietly calm and content in knowing what he does is for a good cause. Once he gets to know people, he often opens up in their company and around others, showing his more cheerful and mostly optimistic outlook on life.
He's well known to have a large mouth and never quite knows when to shut up, though it has worked in his favour more than once. He is also very confident when coming up against demons, due to dealing with them for the majority of his life.
It's also known that Cas likes to "break the mould", in the sense that every demon hunter he's met is an uptight, emo, grimdark soul, and Cas tries his best to be the opposite of these things. But he still loves wearing black.
Associations
Is known to be in a happy relationship with Rapture.
Has good friends in Willem Wendel and Powerglove, the latter having been the one who pushed him towards Rapture, which he doesn't complain about at all.
