Let me lay it down for you, I lived over in Las Vegas. Not exactly high class or anything like that. But, still it was pretty decent, nothing like some of the smoggy hell holes that everyone tries to sweep under the rug. I had two parents a mother and a father; I wasn’t in one of those forward thinking families with two fathers or two mothers. But, wouldn’t that have been hot? Well, hot as long as I was adopted, otherwise ain’t touching that with a ten foot pole. On top of that my Grandmother lived with us. She really tried to keep a hold of the “old traditions”, but I really never paid any attention to that. My mind was too focused on girls, and boys for that matter. What can I say; I’m a little self indulgent and quite a bit greedy.

School was school; you get up in the morning, get dressed and then go to sit in classroom after classroom as teachers shove as much information into you as they could.

So, basically seventeen years of ignorance until one faithful day when my powers surfaced. Of course, it had to have been when I was making out with this hot dude from some sports team, hell if I remember which one it was. It was at some party, and I was probably drunk at time (that’s usually how it worked with the parties I went to). Long story short, it was one shockingly good kiss. So good, that it threw the guy into a mini seizure. He survived, and I really wasn’t blamed for anything. Though, from that point on I realized that I really couldn’t touch anybody. As it was, it kinda felt like I had a constant static charge around me constantly. Dude, like I could even figure out any of that shit in the first place. I flunked physics.

Fast forward to six months later and Bam (or maybe zap) I end up shorting out a city block. I won’t lie, it was pretty damn awesome. But, at the same time it scared me shitless. What was worse? As soon as it happened, all of these people from the government started showing up at the house. My parents kept getting rid of them, telling them to go someplace else and that they had no idea what they were talking about. In the end, I ran… I mean I seriously ran, all the way to Millennium City.

History in Millennium City..

Millennium City wasn't Cayne's first choice by far; however it was the most convenient. It was far enough away from Vegas that his family wouldn't bother him, plus he already knew someone in the city that would be able to give him a place to live on the cheap.

Adjusting was hard at first; he found the whole city strange and the constant criminal activity a little worrisome. Of course, with the amount of insanity, he knew that he could keep his own problems on the down low and lead a relatively normal life.

Being young and broke, he did the only thing that he could; he used his charms and looks to get a job “slinging pancakes”. Denny’s wasn’t his first choice, and waiting tables was a challenge at first, but living off the tips he made was a lucrative solution. He was young, attractive and shameless and if he had to flirt a bit to get a bigger tip, he had no qualms against dropping a few compliments and a smile. Sure, it wasn’t enough to move out of the basement he was living him, but it kept him comfortable.

The best part of the situation? His powers were easily kept under wraps and he didn’t have to worry about people finding out.

Powers

The nature of Cayne’s powers is called bio-electro genesis. His body naturally creates cells that are positively charged on one side and negatively on the other side (much like the modern day battery or an electric eel). At this time he cannot control the current that these cells create.

Personality

In three words, Cayne could be described as insatiable, flirty and laid back. That is to say that he has a hunger for life and the freedoms that should come with it. He has a habit of hitting on anything that moves and he tries his damnedest not to let anything bother him. Really he just wants to have a good time and not have to worry about the important "grown up" things.
