Origins

Not much is known about Meta-Spider's origins.. not even he is fully aware of where he comes from. What is able to be pieced together is that he is from an island somewhere in the mediterranean ocean and unlike most other manimals whom were either grown in labs or mutated from humans, he distinctly remembers hatching from an egg amongst dozens of other siblings in a 'very, very dark place'. His earliest memories are of somehow finding himself working in a port town on an island as a dockhand, but being mistreated pretty heavily due to his insectoid features. He was always the sort that was willing to help out others regardless of who or what they were. Even if they were mean, rude or nasty to him he was always willing to give them a helping hand.. as such he's a bit naive. He eventually left the island when he managed to get himself a job aboard a merchant ship, where his only role was to make sure supplies were fastened below deck securely. Though this didn't last long when the vessel was attacked by a group of super-powered pirates and he, along with the rest of the crew, were captured.

Meta-Spider was 'sold' to someone on Monster Island called "M" and he was apparently a doctor. This "M" was none other than Doctor Moraeu whom was interested in the insectoid manimal's genetic make-up. His DNA was taken and was being utilized to create V.I.P.E.R.'s own variant of manimal insectoids. The experiments and treatment Meta-Spider was forced to endure caused him to suffer a rather severe case of amnesia as a result of it.. causing him to forget his own name, where he came from, and much of his past. He was eventually freed when an U.N.T.I.L. elite unit besieged the laboratory in an attempt to seize the doctor but he managed to escape. Meta-Spider was freed, and in turn, he freed the other manimal insects himself. Though he found some super-soldier powered armor in one of the armories, as well as a composite longbow, which he took both as 'trophies' of his escape. It was then that he learned about 'superheroes', and decided from then on he was no longer going to be the victim.. and he was going to dedicate his life to helping others. He adopted the name of "Meta-Spider" on account of how his powered suit has four extra mechanical limbs which can extend from a backpiece, controlled by his own thoughts, and figured it was fitting for a scorpion to name itself after a spider... they are both arachnids, after all.

Now

Meta-Spider seeks to remember what he's forgotten, and his ultimate goal is to bring Doctor Moraeu and ALL of his creations to justice.. he rather pointedly is focused on assisting those who need help, even if they might be afraid of his appearance. He generally hangs around Club Caprice when not assisting people around the world. His super speed allows him to travel to any location on the globe, though reaching it does take time.

Powers

Meta-Spider himself has no offensive metahuman powers. But it has been observed his accuracy with his longbow seems to be unusually accurate. His powered armor gives him the edge he needs in order to combat supervillains across the globe. It helps regulate his body's temperature (he is considered an insectoid entity, and as such he is far more susceptible to heat and cold due to how his body cannot regulate his temperature properly), grants him breathing assistance when underwater (it prevents his spiracles from being blocked, which can result in suffocation or death), as well as granting his rather frail chitinous exoskeleton with additional durability (otherwise his body is as durable as thin leather armor). He also possesses the ability to run at supersonic speeds which causes a distortion effect to form around his chitin and body when he is moving, but it is barely noticeable when standing still. This allows him to literally 'run through the air' if he runs off of a cliff for a few seconds before his trajectory starts to go downwards as gravity catches up, as well as permitting him to sprint across bodies of water with no resistance as the water's surface tension is not broken as long as he is in constant motion.

I am also a focused end-game grinder, hero builder, as well as costume designer. So that is primarily what I do when not RPing. You can generally catch me in Club Caprice at random hours for public roleplay. I work at home so I don't really tend to disappear for long periods of time.
