((Cliffnotes from the Player))
To keep this as pet-projecty as ever I've decided to seperate info ["ICly"], OoCly and "events that may be retconned in the future" all at once, keeping most of the information streamlined for practical reading. This is for fun and all, so trying this out can't do too much harm. If it doesn't work I could just try another way.
To reiterate
"[Bolded text in boxes]" denotes In character information.
"Normal text" denotes OoC
Italacised text denotes OoC information that's W.I.P.
What? Art from Adversty and too much creative control without being challeneged is a bad thing? Pishaw.
Backround & History
Origin.
"Pembruke Mass, Set"
[Khan Marah Khan hails from the planet Set in the Para Morrow system on the Cygnus arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. Dwellers of Set (or [Setican|Seticans]) are a strange hybrid of energy beings with bodies of flesh and blood, the energy within them as needed to their bodies as any other vital organ.
Unlike other Seticans, Marah has been unable to use his Core since birth till present, only being able to do so with self created focuses through Para Morrow technology (See below...when it's there). Because of this he is much smaller then other Seticans and is treated like a second class citizen by most of his own people. Being unable to obtain respect among many of his peers he fled Set in a ship he tended to throughout a good portion of his semi-turbulent life.]
Marah's home establishment on Set is known as Pembruke Mass, a city formed for the sole purpose of dealing with both planetary and galactical politics while still remaining an inhabitable place to live for Tribe Delegate families. Marah's growth as a Stifled Setican seems to have been watched form quite a few prying eyes when possible, up to his departure.
"Pre-Earth"
Shortly after leaving his home Set, training for and failing his Rites of Core, he wound up trekking across many stellar systems and planets, being one of few Seticans to see past the dust cloud that enshrouds Para Morrow. For several Earth years he learned about other energy and biological races, upgrading his ship and technology the more he traveled and learned.

Powers
Abilities & Skills =
Equipment
- Core Focuses - A simple device that does not run on it's own power source, instead drawing such from the wearer when used (basic functions such as turning of and on still rely on an internal source). Once in tune with the wearer it helps route said energy on command, letting the energy within the being move actively for use. A duplicate yet equally essential part is is required for energy retrieval for when the said energy is done being used for external use, actively returning the energy into the body and thusly completing the circuit.
Marah can be seen wearing two, one on each arm.
- [Anti Eyesight Repellent Spray] - A beltside invention simply made of contained oxygen and various minerals found on many planets. The repellent works on almost any sentient being, but only for a few seconds only if sprayed in the eyes.
- [Grappling Hook] - A simple mechanical mechanism that shoots a relatively thin wire in whatever direction the grappling hook is facing. The hook will use a series of tiny hooks to latch onto whatever the released end is shot at, be a person, a structure, or thin air. The holding mechanisms will last for only a few moments before releasing, making the user have continuously use it as per it's design.]
Marah's Ship
.[A normal, only semi-battle ready spaceship Khan Marah Khan uses to travel. The story he tells is he thought it to originally be a junked bargeship from wartime, first gutted and largely modified with modern era Setican technology by it's previous owner before being put out of commission yet again. Upon discovery Marah slowly rebuilt the ship over a [Setican] year to accommodate him if (and when) he decided to leave Set, acting as a hidden base of operations and mobile/immobile workshop. After leaving the planet and system of origin the ship has undergone a few more rudimentary changes in it's design, further making it a rather unique conglomeration of technologies from many an era and location.]
The ship's equipment and systems include...
*"Random" Equivalence Drive
The E.D. is an engine that rearranges the particles of each inanimate object in the room an intruder has, forcing the room to take another form, often copying a location on the planet the ship is located. The drive merits the name "Random" due to the nature of the drive not pin pointing exact or deserted locations, sometimes going far enough to mimic the interior of royal family homes and thensome. This is a problem only experienced by the minority of it's users, who pilot starships with low energy reserves.
- Core Network
Setican ships are built to run on the Setican's own Core, acting as both the onboard operating system and the power supply. The system's exhuast function is modeled after Basican circuit technology, taking the energy the ship expels for reuse. Although diminishing returns apply a core-based race can operate an otherwise unmanned ship by itself for as long as the user is conscious.
Weaknesses
- [Acrophobia]
[One of the real reasons Marah doesn't like to take off his utility belt is that he feels absolutely naked without his Grappling Hook afraid he may be put into a situation without it at any given movement. This fear stems from pushes his parents gave him to try and awaken his powers at earlier ages, dropping him from tall heights, hoping in vain his survival instincts would take over. While undergoing Rites of Core this innate fear was amplified by injuries sustained from misjudged jumps and his fellow Seticans refusing to aid him when his inability to fly proved troublesome. Falling high above the planet Set without the ability to stop cloud his nightmares whenever he has them.
Even with his Grappling Hook, Marah will often swing low to the ground.]
- Hematophobia
Setican's do not bleed like some other races due to the raw energy flowing through their bodies. As a result any sort of bloodletting that cuts through their thick skin and hardened muscle tissue results in profuse energy leakage, a Setican being able to "bleed dry" within a matter minutes through even the tiniest incision.
Any kind of bleeding is sure cause any Setican turmoil.
- ['Stiflage']
[ For one reason or another some Seticans are born without the innate ability to use Core at birth, infancy, or childhood, usually the result of fear, inexperience, or slow growth. Khan Marah Khan has been a notable exception on modern day Set due to having this inability through far beyond childhood. The condition is named 'Stiflage' among Para Morrow races ('Core stifled Core' among seticans).
On a planet like Earth or Kdathar, where only so few inhabitants use Core, the difference may not be similar at first. But on planets where such energy manipulation reigns supreme the hindrance of his own abilities becomes more then apparent. An example being most Seticans have the abilty to defy planet based gravity with through the use of Core (flying) whereas Khan Marah Khan does not.]

[Jin Oroh Jin]
[A long time acquaintance of Marah. However, unlike Marah, Jin Oroh Jin can fully utilize his Core given abilities. His personality can be described as aggressive and somewhat cocky, and is often quick to look for violent solutions to solve a problem. Oroh has been sighted on Earth causing problems with little thought on the repercussions of his actions.]

Trivia & MetaInfo
Marah's player...
- ...is lazy. Like, exceptionally so.
- ...Is a fan of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (And other Douglas Adams works), but did not use such as an inspiration for Marah or Seticans. His ship is a different matter, however.
- ...Is currently out job hunting because he cannot play for free.
Marah's Inspirations are...
- ... A little shameful for the character himself. Tussling around a few ideas from (chuckle) copying an already established character in Champions Online ultimately led to what the character is today. (The long version can be found on the "Talk" part of this page.
- ...A mix of Outlaw Star, Star Trek, HGttG for Setican ship design (specifically his ship).
..Outlaw Star's androids, both bio and mechanical, inspired the Core Network and other designs like it. The player is actually surprised that over the course of 12 years no one else has played around with the idea of an entire spaceship run on one being's mind.
..The R.E.D. is a direct mimicry to the Infinite Improbability Drive without shame, but intended for vastly different purposes (both strange plot devices, but one to keep the S.S. Heart of Gold in motion and the other a poor-man's defense meachanism employed for comedic effect and convenience).
- Rumor has it that Marah...
...doesn't have fur.
...doesn't get along with humans.
...is a dog.
...is a fan of comic books.
...is really a mutant.
...is really evil because of the way he sounds.
...is royalty
...isn't very bright.
Concerning media info, Marah's...
- ...voice actor, Oded Fehr would be casted.
