Appearance & Personality
Lester is a scrawny punk in a world of Olympians. But he's bright, energitic, persistant, occasionally pursasive, and very lucky.
History
Origins
Lester just started working for the Gold Agency. That as a given, he has no idea how nuts the boss and the boss's daughter are. Prior to landing this gig Lester had been a fry cook and a part time college student (focusing on a communications degree). Then one day a life changing accident nearly occurred as an unknown (to this day) super heroine grabbed him and used her own body to provide cover from a New Purple Gangsters tommy gun. Unfortunately her strength was such that she broke his arm while maneuvering him. She rushed off without waiting for thanks and soundly trashed the Purple mobsters. Then she flew off leaving them battered to unconsciousness for when the Police arrived. While Lester was being treated by the paramedics, he had the first of several encounters with attorneys. All of them were looking to make a buck off the lawsuit he should bring against her. Having enough wits to realize that three months in a cast was better than eternity in a coffin, he refused. Kindly at first, but getting downright rude by the time the seventh had called. His distemper was caused by the realization that all these vultures wanted was to make the unknown heroine pay for having done the right thing.
Lester spent months trying to get into any agency, but his limited schooling hounded him. Finally he got in to see Mr. Gold. And Mr. Gold, wanting nothing more than to get rid of the punk told him, "you bring me a Hero, I'll give you a job". Most men would give up and walk away. But Lester was made of tougher stuff, and his new mantra kept him going. "Who protects the protectors".
Lester scored his first contract with Gene Damage in early 2010 and got his job 'officially' at the Gold Agency.
Recent
Lester has been learning the ropes within the agency. Everything from managing press releases to corporate sponsorships. Lester has also come to a better understanding as to how The Gold Agency makes it's real money. The commercial deals are good, and the origin script is better, but the big money for the Gold Agency comes in when a hero has outgrown Gold and one of the major agencies brings an offer for the heroes’ contract. While he isn't looking forward to parting with Gene on a personal level, he hopes for both their fortunes that Genes ticket to bigs will come in.

Trivia
It is far too easy to forget that Heroes need to bankroll thier adventure in some way, be it by 'confiscating' the finances of do-no-good-nics, capitalizing on some technology that they have invented, or whoring themselves out commercially. Lester Fine is themeatically all about exploring the link between adventure and bankroll.
