Masaru was a Lance Corporal under Shogun Hiroto in the United Earth Defence Initiative. In the year 2433 LCpl. Masaru was on an assignment in the northern spiral arm of our Galaxy. There the unit was ambushed by unknown assailants wielding also unknown technology.

The attackers energy weapons had two distinct effects:
First both pilot and Mecha were flung far and wide into either another galaxy or one in a parallel universe.
Second the energies unleashed reacted with the powercore of the Oni Prime, shrinking both the pilot and the Mecha.

The pilot is now stuck in the Mecha since the body is too small for respiration... the oxygen molecules would be too big for lung and blood to use. To this end Masaru reprogrammed the Oni to filter air by venting it through exposed powercore radiation, shrinking the oxygen molecules as well.

This leaves the pilot with the problem of food and water, both of which are running out. If no solution is found soon Masaru will die in the cockpit.
