Killjoy was spawned from my desire to have a DPS that would deal consistent damage, unlike another DPS I had made, Redi, who instead hit in large, heavy hitting bursts. As I made her and played her, I grew to increasingly enjoy her, and she quickly elevated to my most geared, and most powerful character, as well as my new personal favorite character. As long as this game exists, I plan to continue working on her, growing her power and building further upon her story.

Joy Maschera was a woman living a double life, that of a mild-mannered housewife, planning a cozy, loving future with her partner, and a ruthless, aloof mercenary for hire. One night, she was selected to fulfill a high-profile contract, despite the pleading and negotiating of Blackout, leader of the Void Star mercenary group. En route home after completing it, she received a panicked text from her partner, and upon returning to her apartment she discovered the brutally slain body of her partner, as well as the calling sign of Blackout and her Void Star group. Heartbroken and fueled by vengeance, Joy took on the name Killjoy and retired from the life of being a mercenary and became a hero instead, aiming to save others from suffering while on her journey of bloody revenge for Blackout, looking forward to the day she can finally enact her justice upon her.



After finally defeating Blackout in a battle in her lair on Monster Island, then defeating her, the League of Destruction, and Shadow Destroyer in the Qliphothic Realm, she now continues her hero career, and seeks to dismantle the splintered remaining cells of Void Star, one by one, with no mercy given. She now operates as Matriarch of the Supergroup/Mercenary group the Shi Alliance.

-Killjoy wields a custom built modern sniper rifle, chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum, which she uses with high efficiency to eliminate targets from afar.


-Killjoy utilizes a modified FN SCAR-L, chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, which is her primary means of dealing damage.


-When all else fails, Killjoy relies on her dual Scoundrel Pistols, capable of penetrating through most modern body armors and firing in fully automatic bursts.


-Killjoy protects her body with a specially enhanced combat suit, capable of withstanding most elemental attacks, as well as being highly bullet and stab proof. The suit is capable of quickly restoring her wounds for 15 seconds, capable of doing this every minute or so. The suit is also able to jumpstart her heart, should something bring her to a near fatal state, combined with a large jolt of electricity and Killjoy's naturally high will to survive. However, this takes about 4 minutes to recharge again, and if she suffers another possibly fatal injury while its charging, it will be unable to save her.

-Commander Grauhl was the Captain of the Soulset division of the Void Star group, dedicated to strengthening themselves through twisted magics powered through the power of their souls and the stolen soulpower of others. Commander Grauhl also served as Blackout's right hand man in Void Star, before being slain in combat by Killjoy.
