Jade Phoenix
|
Jade Phoenix was a popular superhero most active during the late 80's and early 90's. She could generate and manipulate fire as the result of genetic mutation.
Many established heroes resented Jade and her style. Amazing Grace publicly called her a "bad influence" (and privately called her much worse). The truth is Jade was just one of the anti-establishment ilk of heroes. The old style was considered by many to be too hokey and cheesy for the 90's.
Despite the time and money on partying and publicity, Jade Phoenix did do some legitimate good as a superhero. She was on the frontlines in the defense of Detroit and in security during the building of Millenium City. Some questioned, however, whether she did more harm than good by eroding the image of respectability and incorruptibility the public had for superheroes.
In 1988, after a brief courtship, Jade married fellow rock star super Scythe (More a brooding grunge counterpart to her 80's hair band style). Skylar Worthy Williams (aka Nick Phoenix) was born October 23, 1989. The couple separated four months later.
Jade Phoenix has since married and divorced actor Trevor Duncan. She currently lives alone in Los Angeles.
