Appearance and Personality

Jackson Main is an athletic looking, yet lean 17 year old boy. He has the classic runner's body type, and has long, black, slicked back hair with a cowlick right on his hair line. His face is always hidden beneath his "Happy Mask" and his facial features are not known. Jack is a bit of a looney. He's someone who takes actions first, and asks questions while he's taking action. Of course he means well, since he is in fact a hero/vigilante, but he isn't opposed to snagging a few bucks from any criminals he's taken out. Come on, it's probably stolen anyway right? His mind works differently from other people's due to his cracked psyche and mutation, so he can come off as arrogant and overconfident, when he really has no idea what's going on, or is in complete control of the situation...you never know with Jack.

History&Information

Origin

Jackson Maine was born in January 1996 to Mariah Maine, a single mother barely making ends meet. His father, who could be a number of people, passed on his mutant genes to Jackson, which gave him his abilities. At the age of two, Jackson had mastered all of his motor functions and could even solve basic math problems as well as deduce with logical competence. He was in complete control of his mind, but with that came a cost. He understood all of his mother's woes and hardships, and this put a strain on the boy. Fortunately, Mariah always gave the same piece of advice to him. "No matter the situation, face it with a smile." This would stand true in his heart until one fateful day, his mother had been caught in a massive shootout between the scum of their city, leaving Jackson alone and without care. This cracked his psyche, and he became slightly deranged. Jackson vowed to become a hero, and rid the streets of the worst scumpile city he could find, and he chose Westside.

Current Situation

Jack is currently living on the streets of Westside, calling the entire place his "Home". He works day and night to rid the town of the criminals it's so full of. Although already a formidable attacker, Jack is seeking out a mentor in order to increase his hand to hand capabilities, since they are somewhat lacking.

Abilities

Brain Function Control

Jack is able to control all of his brain functions, which allows him to completely shut out pain, activate adrenaline rushes at will, and release happy endorphines to keep him chipper during his escapades. He can also process information at an alarming rate, making his tactical decisions brilliant.

Parkour Training

Jack has been running atop buildings his entire life, and can easily navigate cities with his parkour ability. He is nimble and quick, and is a serious annoyance when being chased.

Sharpshooter

A bit of an offshoot of his Brain function control ability, Jackson's skill with firearms comes naturally. He's practiced with his dual pistols and can even go so far as to ricochet pellets off of flat surfaces with ease.

Trickster

Jack doesn't enjoy being a hero/vigilante unless he can get his kicks, and one way he does this is by using his mischievous nature in order to completely mess with his opponents. He'll use reverse psychology and common sense to doop his opponents into looking like complete fools, or falling for traps. On occasion, he's been known to use the old "Got your nose" gag in battle, just to annoy his adversaries.

Equipment

Happy Mask

Jack wears a yellow mask with a smiley drawn on it to conciel his identity, and to generally creep out anyone who looks at him. It's made of mahogany wood and contains a small voice modulator, which allows Jack to speak without having to worry about his identity being found out through voice recognition.

Dual Pistols

Jack carries around twin pistols which are custom made to fire dense rubber pellets, which can be ricochet'd off of flat surfaces and if aimed at the temple, instantly knock out enemies.

"Happy" Juice

This piece of equipment would be Jack's favorite. He carries a few syringes filled with an unknown mixture of chemicals he calls "Happy" Juice, which does exactly what it says on the tin. It causes the person injected with the liquid to end up in a state of euphoria and lose control over their motor functions for up to an hour.

Pepper Spray

More of a gag then a weapon really, Jack uses pepper spray to rub his victories in the faces of his defeated opponents. They serve no actual purpose in battle, since Jack relies mostly on his weapons and mutant ability.

X-Factor

Jack has spent several years rigging his city of choice (Westside) with various traps (of which only he can active) and creating escape routes. He's pretty much memorized the layout of the city, from where every major building is, down to every manhole location, so he's pretty comfortable taking on any opponent on his turf.

Jack isn't exactly in the right state of mind most of the time, and can be rash in his decisions if he goes into one of his "moods".

Jack's not invulnerable, nor can he deflect bullets with magic, he's just a guy wearing a mask.

Jack currently has a bounty of 6,000 U.S dollars on his head for needless violence against criminals and a few civilians, property damage, and thievery.

Rumbling

Always ready for a brawl, Jack will accept any challenge to a fist fight. Just don't expect him to fight fair.

Wandering Soul

Although he seems content and "happy" with his current situation, Jack's homelessness and general lack of friends is a burden, and he jumps at any opportunity that would allow him to become part of a collective...even if he isn't wanted.
