The Office of The Hand

The Hand of Babylon is among the oldest and honored tradisions held in Babylon. The oldest documents say the the Hand defended the City when it was weak and had little defences of it's own. The Hand still operates with the same cause today, but due to Babylon's greater strength today the Hand is hardly the first defense Babylon uses. The Hand today is most often used to send a message to parties that would interfere with Babylon's interests.

Throughout the millenia, Hands have been gifted and obtained artifacts of various origins. The most famous of which is the weapon Ndan, an anomoly that has imprisoned a powerful and hungry entity that was forged into a weapon before the Earth was fully formed as a planet. Another important and well known artifact used by the Hand is known as the "Hand's Mail", a suit of armor commisioned by a long dead Hand composed of hundresd of interlocking and overlaping plates that leave the wearer incredibly well protected with no restrictions on movement. The Hand's seal of Office is the "Hand's Sigil", a small amulet depeicting the image of a hand.
