Firewalker is a street-level superhero based on Millennium City.
Being active for 7 years, Firewalker has gone through a couple different names, such as the Crimson Ghost and Garuda, and after a hiatus, Firewalker has returned to Millennium City
Previously working in other hero groups, Firewalker was recruited into The Adventurers after a dockside attack by several large mosquito-like monsters, where he assisted the Adventurers in incapacitating the creatures.
Anthony Kristos was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to a mutant mother and father.
While it would seem he had a loving childhood, in reality his father had been abusive to both his mother and Anthony himself, which only occurred behind closed doors. His father donned a cape and wore a mask, but even still, his father was certainly a villain. After a physical altercation between his mother and father in which their powers had been used, AJ's powers would come to the surface. This resulted in AJ and his mother fleeing to Millennium City to avoid his father and to learn how to better control his new abilities
An avid superhero fan, AJ would have been ecstatic to live in Millennium City, and at the age of 15, would go out on his own in a cheaply made costume to try and fight crime on his own. This would backfire, and AJ, the self proclaimed "Crimson Ghost" due to his red flames, would be saved by another hero, who would recruit him into their group to better learn to use his powers in a safe environment.
Under the tutelage of teammates Carrion and Rashir, AJ, then dubbed Garuda, would learn how to better use and control his powers, to the extent of being able to change the temperature of his flames, manipulate them to form different shapes, and form different weapons. This wouldn't last, however, as his team would disband after AJ's 3rd year.
After having a brief stint working with another group, AJ would join the Adventurers for a short period of time before being recalled by his old mentor Carrion to assist in defeating an old nemesis, who planned to open a portal to the sun from their spaceship and scorch the Earth. The portal would open and, in an attempt to prevent it from reaching Earth, AJ, along with several other pyrokinetics, attempted to hold back the flames, causing Firewalker to absorb a great deal of solar radiation in the process. This would cause further mutation within him and would essentially super-charge his flames at the cost of his own body.
Wishing to regain control of his powers, AJ would seek out Rashir, who would have relocated to Scotland, in an attempt to reign in his flames, and after a year of training, would return to Millennium City
Return to Millennium City
Upon returning to Millennium City, Firewalker still had issue with controlling the heat of his flames, but he still attempted to do good in the city. While on patrol, he would overhear of an issue at the docks in Westside, and upon investigation, would reveal to be an attack from large mosquito-like monsters. While initially having trouble fending them off, Firewalker would be rescued by the Adventurers, who would welcome him back into their group with open arms, which he accepted.
Firewalker's abilities are all fire-based, and he is able to manipulate them into creating different shapes with varying sizes, such as the large wings he creates when he flies, or small weapons. However, he needs to first study the thing he wishes to create in order to mimic it later on. On top of that, his mutation allows for slightly advanced healing and durability, as well as a high pain tolerance and a resistance to fire.
Using his flames, he is able to fly at an extremely fast pace, though he is unable to do this for long distances.
Firewalker's main way of battle is by keeping at a distance and raining fire upon his enemies, though he tries to avoid this to prevent unnecessary damages and injuries. He'd instead opt to try and incapacitate those he fights by means of intimidation or by melting their weapons.
After absorbing solar radiation, Firewalker is unable to control the heat of his flames, which continuously glow a bright blue, reaching 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit whenever they're used.
Weaknesses
On top of the typical means of disabling a pyrokinetic, Firewalker has attained several drawbacks upon absorbing solar radiation
During long battles or flights, Firewalker's flames will begin to burn him, causing him immense amounts of pain.
He is very unwilling to use his flames to harm people unnecessarily, essentially handicapping himself
While his fire aura can melt bullets, he himself is not bulletproof, and despite his pain tolerance, can be hurt or killed as easily as any man.
Things like water, ice or a fire extinguisher can put a dampener on his fire, either shutting them down or weakening them greatly.
Despite his relatively long time in the field, Firewalker is relatively unlearned in hand to hand combat, and thus can be easier to handle in close combat encounters
