Personality
The pragmatic philosopher, firmly set in the ways of empiricism and reason. A man well-tempered against emotional responses to conflict and challenge--not as a form of bravery, but in the best interest of identifying and solving a problem. These commanding personality traits go hand in hand with the development of his abilities.
Some have called him argumentative; these same people can not hold a reasoned debate to any effect. To his mind, he considers that failure to be on the same level as any other societal wrong-doing.
Appearance
Feyd's most distinguishing feature by far is the luminescent quality to his grey eyes, a by product, he postulates, as the result of extensive deconstruction of spell works. No vision loss has been incurred.
History
Feyd-al has been a relatively minor blip on the radar for the past few years, intervening in low-level supernatural affairs across the country and, rarely, internationally. More often than not, he's played a supportive investigation role to unravel the greater workings of a given incident. Specific documentation is readily available through local agencies and L.E. offices.
Powers, Skills, & Abilities
- Magic Deconstruction:
In the search to better understand magic, Feyd-al devised a means to deconstruct it into its component form, most often visualized as sigils that, when recombined, are as intricate as fractal art. The 'school' of magic behind it is heavily personalized and informal, but the consistency of its application suggests some validity as his own research and experimentation is poured into it. The fountainhead of this ability is his effort to build a universal language as it pertains to magic, whether of the Assiah plane or beyond. Others who witness his weaves, however, would likely perceive the sigils as those of established spellforms whenever possible; the perceptual phenomenon causing this is perhaps some subconscious biasing.
- Elemental Shaping:
In execution, many of his abilities come in the form of elemental shaping. It isn't until some outlying, specific effect is desired that he may need to visually transcribe new components to alter the outcome. Given the prolific nature of destructive magic, most of his acumen is ascribed to it merely for its availability for research, testing, and deconstructing.
- Utility:
Still a growth area. In the fields of cantrips, warding, scrying, and alteration, he's made some headway, but nothing to the degree of the before-mentioned. With one exception (Redacted to avoid metagame).
Equipment
He doesn't lean on equipment overly much. One minor exception is an old journal packed with diagrams and notes as reference material. He produces this from an inner pocket of his chestwear. In fact, the same inner pocket from which he produces much of anything, suggesting some manipulation of dimensional space. The mechanics behind this, trivial as they are, remain unknown.
