History

In 1959, a small band of heroes, from parts unknown, all arrived in Detroit for a single purpose; to take on Cyrax the Conqueror, a villain who had grown to become a major threat of that era. Before their days of battle together, not one of them knew each other. Still, they fought side by side; almost instantly developing a camaraderie that they knew was rare. What also became clear, even after the final battle against Cyrax himself had been won, was that their work as heroes was not yet complete. What they thought would be a small sacrifice for freedom, and mankind, now became their calling. Taking on the nickname they’d earned for their resilience and survival in a fight, The Eternals were born.

Such victories were had, that soon fewer and fewer still dared challenge the name of the Eternals. Over the years, members of the Eternals had either retired, gone missing, or died. It was finally time for a hard decision to be made. Ending on a high note, the Eternals closed their doors and their name became a respected relic of the past.

Today

Decades later, evil, again, began to rise. The culmination was in 1992 and the battle of Detroit, but it didn’t stop there. Destroyer’s ability to level Detroit brought new found confidence to the criminals of the world. Soon battles were, once again, being fought across the world, and the cries for justice became harder and harder to ignore. In 2010, the long respected relic of the past resurfaced. Grandchildren and children of the Eternals, a couple of surviving members, along with new heroes reformed the Eternals as Eternals, Inc. Eternals, Inc. is dedicated to Millennium City, and set its headquarters in the heart of downtown.

"Building Today for a Better Tomorrow," is the group's slogan now, and they live by it every step of the way. It was not difficult to regain the contacts and alliances the Eternals had once before. Some even say the police, Department of Defense, and governments alike are relieved to have Eternals, Inc. fighting for freedom again. So it was an easy decision for these same entities to make, to keep the hero work of Eternals, Inc. secret. The Eternals do not fight crime for publicity, they fight it for justice. The only part of Eternals, Inc. that is in the public eye, however, is their dedication several philanthropies. On any given day, you will find Eternals volunteering, speaking at schools, building homes, and serving in any way they can to help build the tomorrow their slogan envisions. But don’t be mistaken, even though they are known for their charities, Eternals Inc. are still superheroes, and their roster has grown alongside their popularity for years after their reformation.

Eternals Tower

Eternals Tower stands erect on the east outskirts of McDonald Park. The building itself was purchased by Eternals, Inc. in May of 2010 shortly after their re-creation. The tower itself was to serve as a beacon of hope to the citizens of Millennium City. The structure hosts several levels of training facilities, research and forensic labs, and places for social gatherings.

Places of Note

EternalsTowerInterior1.png
The Eternals Tower houses many facilities such as mystic research, scientific study, and armament research and development. It also houses studio apartments for those heroes who would rather live in privacy in the towering fortress. Of the many features the Tower has to offer, here are a few to note:

The Citadel

The triangular tip of the building houses the single most important room of all the Tower: the Citadel. By definition, a citadel is a fortress, typically on high ground, protecting a city, and this room produces every tactical, preventative, and improvised planning behind Eternals, Inc. actions. The original round table used by the Eternals before lies center of the Citadel. The Eternals insignia is proudly displayed atop the table. The shape is an intentional design to remind every member that their voice carries equal weight as their teammates.

Training Facility

Within the Tower lies the Eternals, Inc. training facility. Spanning over several floors, the Eternals' state-of-the-art training rooms have a little bit of everything to cater to each member's needs, including a virtual simulation room. This "danger room" simulates any level of difficulty fight for single training to team training, and its variety of settings rivals the most creative of imaginations.

Eternal Rest

Even heroes need a place to kick back and relax. The Eternal Rest is a bar located on the lower floors just above the apartment levels of the Tower. One can catch many an Eternal enjoying downtime in each other's company. Although alcoholic beverages are available, the Eternals are responsible, keeping super-powered bar brawls to a minimum. Glasses of milk are also available for the boy scout heroes.

The Gala

Eternals, Inc. often hold benefit dinners and balls in the Gala which is located on the first floor, which is the only floor accessible to the public. The Gala is an eloquent ballroom which takes up the majority of the first floor. Many city officials and celebrities attend these galas and all donations and profits to their many philanthropies.
