Natasha is 1.72 m / 5' 8" tall, weighing 58 kg / 128 lbs. Her fitness level is indicative of a woman who engages in moderate exercise.
Natasha was involved in dance until the death of her parents, while she was admonished for hanging out with the 'wrong element', it did influence her manner of dress.
Very much a social wallflower until she was approached in middle school, Natasha is still somewhat reserved.
History
Born from parents that emigrated from Russia, both scientists that found themselves without work when capitalism took over in USSR.They moved to Windsor, where they gained employment and taught at the University of Windsor. They were cut down when the death ray that destroyed Detroit, when they were doing a field trip in the city. Natasha Kirlova became a ward of the state. At age 18, she attended the University of Windsor with a full scholarship and interned wih the Physics Department, eventually doing her thesis on Force Field Physics, where she got her PhD after six years. However, during her graduate work, a minor accident in the lab, originally unnoticed, manifested in her gaining powers, which caused an even larger accident and subsequent explosion. She lost her position with the lab she worked at and moved to the United States to get a handle on her powers and get a new start. With the help of friends at the University, Natasha devised her capacitance bracers to keep her new found electrical powers in check.
Origins
Natasha had been working on her thesis for her PhD on Force Field Physics, trying to make a practical force field emitter that could be used to create a barrier of energy that would be used to screen out radiation or prevent injury. She was close to a breakthrough. She managed to create a small field but couldn't sustain it with the power supply she was using.
She thought to take advantage of a major test in an adjacent lab that was set to happen later in the day. She attached a induction coil that would use the magnetic field from their power supply so she could take advantage of the power without directly tapping it, however experiments next door was for a component for the Harmon Industries teleportal and created an unforeseen interaction with her equipment. The extradimensional nature of the teleportal had changed the nature of the magnetic field she was hoping to use.
The field surge affected Natasha, creating a tap to what she later discovered to be 0 point energy, she reacted to seeing a spark jump across her fingers, knocking over her carafe of water she had in her hands. The rest of the room started to do the same. Enough electricity was present to separate the water to hydrogen and oxygen. She dove for her force field emitter just as the hydrogen ignited. She woke up to the signs of the room's fire suppression system going off but was otherwise unharmed. The emitter worked as she discovered that it was her that somehow powered the emitter.
