Cypher is a very tall man standing at 6'6 ft tall and weighting only 215 ibs. His body can best be described as slender and lean, having toned muscles in his chest, one of the few areas on him that is still flesh or mostly so. His arms and legs are a slim, flesh colored augmented prosthetic, having black synthetic muscles and plates that work to protect it, the design however for military grade augmentations seem to be more advanced than most cybernetics. Considering he is rarely outside of his long black trench coat he is deathly pale in the skin tone department, also having scars almost everywhere where flesh was still on his body, his face the one exception having mostly smooth skin but also having the triple cuts on his bottom lip as well as a large eye scar. His arm and shoulder have holo-pads glowing out of them, oddly enough these orange devices are built into him and if one looked close enough they could tell. He wears a Kevlar vest under his jacket, along with grey slacks and black combat boots. His mask is one of the key features he has as well, solid black and smooth it keeps his face covered and points out the burning ember cybernetic eyes that he has though his ashen locks tend to help hide them. The mask itself is a type of ballistic face mask made of Kevlar and carbon fiber, having a see through cloth on the slit like eye slots to hide his eyes even more, with that and the clear signs of age to it such as battle scars and slight slashes on the lightweight but decently thick mask. One notable feature is that on his neck he holds four dog tags, one being his own and three more. He also tends to wear gloves, as well as keeping his collar up to hide the handle to his Kukri blade.

Aric was born on October 25th in 1986 to Ramona and Christopher Drimen as an only child. His mother was a teacher, more importantly a gym teacher and a strong woman while his father like most men in his family was a cop, a detective to be specific. He was born in Oxford, and there he was raised for the start of his life but it wasn't exactly just like that. Aric had a few phobias and issues as a child, one being that he had a hate of being watched which led him to hide his face with anything he could, as one could imagine being the pale skinny kid with his face hidden did him no favors. Another major thing during his childhood was that Aric didn't like to be touched or watched, he feared it, it was a mental flaw in him. He didn't show emotion at all even around his family was well which led him to getting counseling along side of being bullied in school. During this bullying Aric seemed to take it all in stride, doing good in school and focusing on work but every comment made about him did nothing to him. This all ended with one day in the sixth grade. He was getting ready to leave when two boys who were bullying him and had been for years decided to attack and try and harm him physically...this was not a good idea. Something in him snapped, he went into an almost killer instinct and retaliated on the boys. Yes, they may have cut his lip up on the grates on his locker, and made him bleed, but he almost killed them, and made it so they couldn't walk. After this situation his father had to pull some strings to keep him out of an asylum or worse, but in return they left, taking the first flight to Millennium City at the age of eleven.

When he and his family got to Millennium City his father got a job with the MCPD considering his impressive record and his mother started to work at a local high school, keeping a much closer eye on their son considering what Aric had done not long before they settled there. For a while, despite how quiet Aric was things seemed to be improving, hell he even found a hidden talent of his when he entered high school and became part of his schools ROTC, he could shoot, and damn well. He practiced day and night with the air rifle, eventually moving up to actual guns and competitions while still keeping a military baring at such a young age. This caught they eye of many people as he neared graduation, many suggesting Primus, Many suggesting the MCPD, but in the end...the opportunity to work for Until seemed to shine brightest as at the age of eighteen and as soon as he graduated he was conscripted into the UNTIL forces.

Off the bat Aric was trained and tested to see where he shined, and to get him his basic training to last him a life time. He was shown very early to be adapt at pistols, vastly more intelligent than he let on, much more observant, and finally very attuned to stealth. For these purposes they placed him in intelligence as a field agent after basic training. It was here that his first job was capturing, decoding, and encrypting data that he had to steal from various enemies to UNTIL. These actions and his skill at it earned him his nickname, Cypher, as well as gained him some renown in UNTIL. This know how with data and the simple act of getting it without being caught was enough to send him up higher in the ranks over time and in two years he was considered a well trained and very skilled agent. He had respect and he was no longer a boy anymore, two years had passed too fast and got him to be suggested to the experiment that would alter his life forever.

He was sent to be one of nine men and women picked for cybernetic augmentation, now this at first didn't seem so bad to the average eyes but the augmentations that were going into the body were...experimental in nature and under normal situations would be illegal. It was a long, drawn out period of testing on various things before the group would ever be sent to the table, and during this time the nine were trained as a team for the purposes of keeping the nine together. After the rigorous testing and training the day come for them to all go to the table. Cypher was the first of the nine to go, told to strip down and get strapped into the table, he did. Cypher was put under for the first part of the surgery...then half way through the augmentation he woke up, he saw his arms on a table across from him, and his legs on another...this was the slow process as his first set of prosthetic limbs started to get attached, and bonded to his body. It felt wrong, so damn wrong, but it didn't have a choice as he was turned into more than a man, but also less. It wasn't long before he started to go under again, waking up while his organs were taken out of him, and of course, he died...or at least he thought he did. It was a twenty two hour operation, one that broke him, fixed him, and changed him for the better or worse. He was sent straight to a resting room after this, and was separated from his team mates.

After six months of rehabilitation and physical therapy to get used to his body Cypher was told that he was one of five to survive the augmentation much to his displeasure. He was ready to go back to work with his new augmentations, his body turned into a weapon and his squadmates just the same as him now. They were deemed as a special force for the intelligence part of UNTIL and Cypher was thrust at the age of twenty into  a cybernetic body, and was turned into a young super soldier.

To say that Cypher was still Aric would be a lie, despite his skill, his neutral stand point and his view of himself as a weapon would be his downfall. He didn't take to the augmentation well, In fact it made him more pessimistic, angry, and just violent. He didn't feel alive, even though he was protecting people he didn't seem to care about anymore, even though he used to. It might have been seeing his squadmates die, or thinking he was dead himself but he was clearly broken in some way. He went on a few missions that started to make him worse and worse, starting with something that made him lose hope in the human race as a whole...

He was in Berlin to catch a terrorist that had been bombing hospitals recently, how he was doing it was unknown but just knowing what he was doing was enough to subconsciously make Cypher angrier and all the more violent. He was on edge the entire OP, guarding a hospital that was said to be the next target. He stayed vigilant with his squad of five, getting odd look from the civilians at the now considered legally dead cybernetic agents gauding a hospital, it made him wonder why they were protecting people who were afraid of him, before he could finish the thought a large explosion went off in the wing of the hospital not far from him. He made a dash, pistols in hand with his other agents, taking point and walking through to see what had happened. Blood was everywhere, and a man was seen bleeding out on the floor of the room that the explosion had started...surprisingly the wing was not on fire. The squads medic went forward to check on the man and just like that, the man looked up with a killer smile and snapped his fingers, the crimson blood boiling and cumbusting, causing an explosion that violently tore the medic to shreads, and pushed back the others.

"You can't break a man the way you break a dog...or a horse. The harder you beat a man, the taller he stands. To break a man's will, to break his spirit, you have to break his mind. Men have this idea that we can fight with dignity, that it's the proper way to kill someone; it's absurd, it's inaesthetic. We needed to endure the bloody horror of murder. You must destroy that idea. Show them what a messy, terrible thing it is to kill a man... and then show them that you relish in it. Shoot the wounded, then execute the wounded; burn them. Take them in close combat, destroy their preconceptions of what a man is, and you become their personal monster. When they fear you... you become stronger, you become better. But let's never forget, it's a display, it's a posture, like a lion's roar or a gorilla thumping at his chest. If you lose yourself with display, if you succumb to the horror... then you become the monster. You become reduced. Not more than a man, but less; and it can be fatal." - The Jackal, Farcry 2

Description

Cypher is a augmented human and a ex-UNTIL intelligence agent. He's done many jobs in his time ranging from intelligence broker to full blown assassin showing that Cyph has and always will be able to adapt to what life throws at him. He has had a troubled past but doesn't seem to let it hold him down anymore, staying out of fire and tending to stay more at home with his mate than going out into a warzone. He still struggles with his augmentations and going stir crazy but for now he's content with his life. He seems to have taken on the role of mentor recently and has started to dedicate more time to that than the occasional job he gets.

Public Opinions.

Public opinions of Cypher go here if you have something:

"He never asked for this." - Snowtalon

"Try not to bother him, he can be scary if you're on the wrong side of him..." - White 'Glint' Cobra

"...We are certain that Cypher has the capability to empty an entire room with only a single magazine in an low graded firearm. This isn't too surprising since we have known Cypher for quite awhile now... Though, what we are surprised about is the fact he hasn't tried to put a bullet in our head... Yet, anyway." - The Collective

"He comes and he goes, like a ghost in the night. Sometimes he's there, sometimes he's not, and sometimes, if you're lucky, you'll catch a glimpse of him. But if you're not, you'll never see him coming, and he will be coming for you. This is one ghost you don't want haunting you." - Dingo
