Overview
Rick Jones always dreamed of the stars, but his life changed during a disastrous UNTIL mission. When his team uncovered the Starlance, an alien artifact housing the consciousness of K'raak'ter, a surge of cosmic energy bonded it to Rick and left his entire squad in complete stasis. As the sole active member, Rick became the Starlance’s reluctant proprietor, vowing to keep its existence hidden.
Guided by K'raak'ter, Rick learned to wield the Starlance’s immense powers, creating solid-light constructs, projecting energy, and traversing space. Serving in UNTIL’s Starlancer Program, he spent five years defending the galaxy.
