Overview

The Super Kids Network (SKN) is a player created cable channel in much the same vein as the Disney Channel, Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network. The programming is aimed for the 7 to 14 year old range, though some of the shows are quite popular with the 18 to 24 year old demographic. Content runs the gamut of live action shows and cartoon series, with the occasional made for TV movie, televised specials such as the Super Kids Choice Awards, and live broadcasts of concerts and events. The vast majority of SKN's programming is about super heroes, whether it is a learning program featuring child super heroes (for example, Super Why), showcasing the silly antics of super heroes (for example, Teen Titans Go!), or your more traditional super hero show (for example, Young Justice). Concerts given by heroes such as Sapphire also are aired on occasion.

Current Programming

  • Super Spots: A series of 2 minute spots aired during commercial breaks on the channel. These have been going on since the channel's inception, and generally feature spotlights on heroes, upcoming events, and current affairs (albeit watered down for the intended audience). The spotlight changes once a week, airing the same spotlight 4 times throughout the day.
Run Time: 2 minutes / Current Time Slot: All week at 8am, 12pm, 4pm and 8pm Eastern Standard Time
  • Ultra-Gal: A live-action series featuring the exploits of Babs Simone aka Ultra-Gal. The show is set to air its 5th and final season in August 2014.
Run Time: 23 minutes / Current Time Slot: Fridays at 7:00 pm Eastern Standard Time

Past Programming

  • Rules of the Rick With Rickdiculous - Former MTV Reality Star and Corporate Superhero Rickdiculous stars in an educational program intended to teach children about laws and proper conduct in society. Unfortunately, Rick went off script constantly and the show was cancelled after six episodes and an incident where Rick attempted to show kids how "TOTALLY RAD" it was to skateboard inside of burning buildings. Rick still has a contract with SKN and is currently working on a pilot tentatively titled "Rickdiculous Sex Ed Program".
  • SKN's Hideouts - Join Super Kid's Network hosts Amy and Adam as they tour the hideouts of the world's most exciting superheroes. This program was cancelled after several guests had their secret identities and/or the location of their hideouts discovered using clues from the show.

Additional Notes

This is up for public consumption, and doesn't require special permission for use in your character's backstory and future RP. Feel free to add your current/past program to the wiki, no permission needed. Please keep programming to shows that fit the theme of the channel. If people can't do that, then I'll have to start having folks ask for permission, which is just lamesauce. -- User:Gijoespouse
